Default Arkansas Suby meets.

I figured I'd start another thread so the old one didn't get any more crowded. We can use this one to post our ideas for meets.

Next one I'm planning:

Suby Meet

Sunday Nov. 4th 10:30am

Devil's Den State Park

12 miles south of Fayetteville on I540.

Those coming from the north take the first exit.
Those coming from the South, take the SECOND exit for Devil's Den.

Hopefully I will get there early enough that we can get an entire section of tables/grills for ourselves. The area that I'm thinking of, will be the first picnic area on the right side of the main road. We'll basically have our own parking/picnic area. Bring your lunch and your cameras. I am going to bring some charcoal and a bunch of hotdogs.

If anyone has any questions, let me know. Also feel free to invite some friends and the random suby you run into.

John

The only place around that I know of that has 93 is the Texaco (it may be Shell now) on College in Fayetteville across from Ozark Natural Foods. They used to have 94. Anyone know if that's still the case?

The station next to the veteran's administration hospital has 94 and 101 I believe. The 94 was like $4.50 last time I was there in the summer and the 101 was almost $10.

There is one other station in Fayetteville with 93, it's the citgo at the intersection of HWY16 and HWY265 in south F'ville. It's where I fillup every week.

There area couple in Rogers/Bentonville (shell stations I believe.) and there is Rapid Roberts in Eureka Springs.

That's all I know about 93 in NWA

Actually its mainly NWA that no longer has 93...all the stations in central AR still have it. Not sure why all the stations switched.

And I think that station at 265 / 16 is a Phillips 66.

When does the actual drive begin?
Do we have a course planned?

Since the majority of people didn't go on the drive last time, I haven't planned a route for this meet. I know the roads pretty well, so if there is interest we can go for a ride when we're getting ready to call it a day.

Would most likely be HWY74 east to HWY71 north to HWY43 to HWY57 which will get us back to south Fayetteville at the intersection of 15th St and Armstrong Ave.

That's fine by me. More people wanted to spend time getting to know each other this time.

We had a great time today. 7 cars showed, we had some lunch, talked for awhile and then went on a 45 mile drive.

Thinking about having another one Thanksgiving weekend, on Sunday.
