Default 07 STi Winter Detail

Before winter comes, and my outdoor water is shut off, I decided to do a big detail on the car, and prepare it for winter.

Steps I took:

ArmorAll Wheel Cleaner on Wheels (including inside of rims)
Washed w/ Ultima Paint Guard Wash
Claybar'd with Mothers Clay Bar Kit
Klasse All-In-One Polish/Sealent @ 4,000 RPM w/ Green Polishing Pad
P21S Carnauba Car Wax @ 3,000 RPM w/ Blue Finishing Pad
Windex'd Windows Inside/Out, and Head/Tailights

All polishing and waxing was done with my new Ultimate Detailing Machine. (UDM) The Klasse AIO was very easy to work with, and even after just polishing the car with this stuff, it felt like it had been waxed. It's also an acrylic sealant, and provides lots of protection. Add a couple layers of probably one of the best waxes on the market, and your good to go, for 5-6 months!

All in all, this took me about a good 7-8 hours. The longest part was probably claybaring the car, but it was well worth it. The entire car is incredibly smooth now.

I plan to order some RallyArmor mud flaps soon, and put those on before winter actually comes. I'm thinking the black ones, w/ Grey lettering? What do you think?

Below are some pics that I took earlier today.

Very nice job on the detailing. 7-8 hours of work on it is well worth the effort to get such a result. Nice plate as well.

Are you using the Kartboy long hangers? I have the same CBE but mated to a Invidia DP and it sits alot closer to the rear bumber than yours.

Yes I am. I got the long ones because I didn't want to risk any bumper burning. Do you have any pics of how yours looks?

I absolutely love the UDM. I never owned a PC, so I honestly can't say. What I do know, is that it is more powerful than a PC, and runs more volts, or something like that.

I didn't have any to get rid of...but

I'd use a more aggressive swirlbuster foam pad on my UDM, and then probably use 3M Swirl Mark Remover...excellent product..
