Hi, I just bought a WRX from the dealer it has 6000 miles (one of the guys at the dealer was driving). Now that I'm driving the car I noticed a couple of problems:
1. Stick shift vibrates alot. Even when is in neutral..if I rev up the engine it vibrates. THis becomes worst when is in gear. 2. The rear of the car is lower thant the front..about 1 to 2 inches. Can any body help with these problems. Should I take it to the dealer to ger it check. can they do anything about the suspension? thanks alot

2) You mean the wheel gap is larger in front than in the rear. The car is NOT 1-2 inches lower in the rear in stock form. Yes, this is normal. Especially if you consider the roots of this car. However, since the car has 6000 miles on it, it may not be entirely stock. You should have asked the dealer about your concerns right away. If you think the vibration is way too excessive, have it checked out. It may be that they drove it like they stole it for 6000 miles and then got rid of it. You really shouldn't have bought the car with 6k on it. How can you be sure that they broke it in properly? Especially if it was a demo car. I'll bet they rode it hard and put it away wet every damned day of it's existence. Look at the panel in the drivers side door, find the build date of the car, then divide the mileage by the number of months it's been out. That can give you a good approximation of how it has been driven. If it was built in Oct. and has 6000 miles on it already... ![]() Last edited by supermarkus; 01-18-2002 at 12:05 PM. |
