I'm going to be buying a set of rims here in the next couple of days, and I have the option of going with a 18x9.5(+45) and i'm unsure if this will fit. I dont mind rolling the fenders or messing with the camber slightly but I dont want to get stuck in a position where I have to pull the fender to get them to work.
Car is a 07 STi. TIA!!!

Sorry I cant give a good answer. I seriously doubt it. Tire size has a nominal rim width which you can find info on by looking at tire specs from the tire rack.
A 225/45/17 tire prefers a 7.5" wide wheel, while a 225/40/18 likes a 8.0" wide wheel. |

I think you can do it. You'll def have to have full adjustable coil overs, and I would recomend camber plates in the front AND the rear.
World One has an either 06 or 07 white STI with a zerosports body kit. And its rollin on 18x9.5 with 265/30/18 tires. Not sure of the offset but if I recall right it was either a +44 or a +45! Definately do your research man. And look into rolling your fenders with a professional tool, I rolled my rear fenders with a professional fender roller tool and a heat gun and they turned out great! You can rent them from websites online just search around! |

Im also puttin 18x9.5 on my ride. but 38mm offset. They do fit and you will have to roll the fenders AND have coilovers. BTW Im pretty sure Phil Grablows 06 is runnin 18x10 prodrives. big rubber we all dream of it, other wise they would have never made the "magnum: condom!![]() |

Front:no problem. Rear:very close but doable with stock suspension-I use 17x9,255/40(same tire dia. as stock),rear lip folded up-for 9.5,I would add more room by trimming off lip(not folding),maybe rolling fender too for mild flare-Cobb website has claimed 9.5 fitment,so ask them.

Thanks for the info guys! I'm still debating on the 9.5 or 8.5 but knowing that I can fit the 9.5 is a bonus.
Regarding the criticism towards making the car slower, I really dont care. Its my daily driver, I dont need a billion hp or to go fast everywhere around town. Its mainly for looks and my personal preference. Thanks again for the good info guys! |
