I know it has been a while since anyone has posted but I have been following the SLS upgrade very closely now that I have to purchase a used differential due to previous owner stupidity. The Diff I found will be coming with the SLS upgrade on it and Im hoping it will make a huge difference. I love what you have done with this car on a budget and made it fun without having to go to a bigger turbo or make the car as fast as possible. I am very interested in all the mods you have done here and am thinking about starting over on my wrx once she is up and running again. Someone might be receiving an order for all the parts listed...

i think money could of been saved on the bugeye, maybe 4k so it could of actually went into some motor work . . . .10k is a crap load for a car with that many miles imo

This was an awesome idea and great project. Would have liked more pictures as always!

I wonder what project 15k bugeye build would look like today given the fact this thread is 6+ years old and prices have dropped even more.

you should put it an "out there" color. Find one that doesnt look bad but isn't normally on subarus.

i made a bugeye sti for $15k


bugeye was $5500 with sti front seats, 4/2 pot subaru brakes

sold engine+trans for $1800 to a shop and got a free tune

bought ver 7 sti engine for $3300
bought 05 usdm 6 spd for $3000 (+$150 for hybrid axles)
