Default '05 WRX slave cylinder work with '92 SS Master Cylinder?

I am in the process of putting an '05 WRX transmission into a '92 SS. We ran into a snag where we can't bolt the Legacy's slave cylinder up. The stock Legacy trans has holes to bolt/mount the slave cylinder to it, and the WRX trans does not. So, I need to get an '04 or '05 WRX Slave Cylinder. That being said, I am wondering if the new slave cylinder will work with the old master cylinder.

C/N: '05 WRX Slave Cylinder compatible with '92 SS Master Cylinder?

it SHOULD work. It's not like the clutch system is that complicated on either car, that it would require some vastly different parts/design. As long as the hose connects between the two, it should function fine.
