Question Exhaust...what do you guys think is the best?

I wana get an exhaust set. I saw the Borla Catback system in a group buy. I also saw the greddy exhaust under the venders, for sale section. I have also seen the hks 3" cat back with the titanium tip. Also, should i get cat back or turbo back?

Any and all help would be appreciated...

It sux being a newbie...

Thanx

turbo back is always going to be the best. I'd reccomend a search and you'll find various other people's opinion's concerning pipe diameter and price. I would personally need to know your budget in order to suggest a company. There are several group buys going on right now so i'd check them out.

Be aware that some of the exhausts are very big. The hks is huge and i personally find it unattractive because it is very visible from the rear of the car.

Not one thing bad ever said about the scoobysport full systems and stromung mufflers. I love mine!!! If you are not going nuts with mods like changed turbo then stick with 2.5 if you are going over 300 horse then consider 3in but 2.5 still works with over 300 horse nicely. Bigger isn't always better with turbo because of exhaust scavaging and other problems. Stromung and scoobysport parts can be mixed and matched and mixed with stock also. Stromung muffler fits with diffy plate too!

Look at the review I made on the Borla GB page.

HKS, Greddy, 5zigen, Scooby Sport, BMP, JIC Magic, Kakimoto, the forthcoming Skunk2, and anything Vishnu are the only ones I'd give the time of day... but do a search! Everybody will have a different opinion, everybody will have different tolerances for noise levels, I chose those manufacturers either for exceedingly high quality and excellent design or for reputation with other car makes... do some research

I just recently ordered the HKS CarbonTi for my WRX. Maybe I'll post some opinions about it after I get it on. Everybody has a different taste in what looks good on their cars. (Unless of course something is absolutely hideious) Look at some pictures, find some sound clips, and maybe even try to find someone that you live by that has an exhaust that you are interested in. when it's all said and done, go with what makes you happy. You won't regret it in the end!
