Default Got a used tranny to put in...

Any great words of wisdom before I begin? Got the used tranny for $650 (with clutch, drive axles, rear diff, starter, flywheel). All I need to do is swap the tranny though(plus fix the leaking oil seperator behind the flywheel).

Easiest/quickest way to get it done?

If you can get the car up in the air a bit and have access to a tranny jack, drop the old unit / install the new unit from underneath. Otherwise pull the engine and tranny as a unit, separate, install new, reinstall as a unit.

Good luck!

I planned to jack the car up, and drop the trans. Seems way more difficult to pull the engine(as I've done that before).

Anything else? Is it adviseable to remove the front hubs to get the drive axles out?

According to the parts people, it's an oil seperator, not the rear main seal. It's currently a cheap piece of plastic, on the right (as you look at the rear of the engine) of the crankshaft.
