First, i have searched for any vendors selling a package deal on fluids to complete the 30K mile maintenance, and came up with nothing. If there is such a thing please help me out, and link me to it.
Now. My 2004 Sti is at 29,7XX miles, and i would like to change the oil, filter, brake fluid, trans fluid, diff fluid, coolant, clutch fluid, i have a K&N panel filter so im ok there, rotate the tires.. anything else i am missing? If any vendors are reading this, than you should put together some sort of package deal. Also what do you use in your personal car? YR./Make/ Model- oil- filter- trans- diff- brake- Thanks in advance. Brian.

Peak global lifetime coolant is silicate & phosphate free just like subaru coolant. Castrol GT LMA brake fluid is very good. LMA stands for low moisture activity.

Even that I mentioned castrol brake fluid, it's hard to find. Valvoline synpower brake fluid is DOT 4 and the best place to get it cheap is Meijer.

I did mine recently with the following:
2006 STi OEM Oil Filter Prodrive air filter (part of CAI) Motul 300V 5W-40 Motul Gear300 75W-90 (Tranny and front diff shared) Motul 90PA (Rear diff, LSD specific oil) Motul RBF600 (brakes) Now, my car sees the track regularly so some of this might be overkill for you (not sure of your usage) but it certainly rocks the Casbah for me! |
