I still have the doors, but the person(s) interested in the chassis may want these. I am holding onto them until he/they decide what they want to do.

You're kidding me, right?

I e-mailed you back on December 9th, wanting to know what shipping would be on the doors, and now today (two days after you said you'd reply to my email, and never did) you're telling me that another person who said "I'm interested in the chassis once you're done stripping it" way back on November 5th might want them? I do want them, and I have the money to buy them, right now.

What happened to rule #5?

5) Dibs - there are none. First one to pay gets the part(s).

I took your word on that, and now it seems like I'm kind of screwed because of it. I stated in my e-mail (which you may not have read?) that I had another set of doors (although less favorable, since they're silver) lined up, which I would have needed to buy before today if yours weren't still available. If you've known for over a month that the guy interested in the chassis had (supposedly non-existing) "dibs" on the doors, why couldn't you have just told me that 2 days ago in this thread, instead of letting me hang for another two days by telling me that you'd reply to my email that same day, then not doing so? I could have made arrangements to buy the other set of doors, but now it's too late to do that.

If you're going to make specific rules for those of us wanting to give you money to follow, it'd be nice if you'd actually abide by them, so we don't get jerked around. How ironic that you stated "I don't have time for many of the things I see in these threads" in your first post. Neither do I.

I guess I'll have to find someone else to give my money to, then? That'd suck, because it seems like your 2006 crystal gray metallic doors would be a perfect match for my 2005 crystal gray metallic car...

If you're interested in money more than you're interested in the possibility of money, please let me know because I would like to give you some. If not, then I hope the guy interested in the chassis winds up buying them, because that would suck if it turned out he was jerking you around...

The guy who I am currently negotiating with on the chassis was literally the first person who emailed me back on 11/4. That trumps your 12/9.

I in no way indicated that the doors were even available. It is not my fault that you interpreted me saying that I will email you back as: "yes they are available and sure you can have them". Instead of how it was intended: "I just moved, have ***** everywhere and no internet set-up, give me a couple of days to get my life in order". That was not and still is not the case. Not only that but shipping two doors is surely going to be a pain in my ass. If I can arrange for them to be picked up and get rid of the big hunk of steel sitting in may garage, while my car is parked on the street, you bet your ass I'll do that ten times out of ten.

I apologize that you had another offer and let it go. Also, not my fault. So how's this for being clear; I am not ready to sell the doors yet. When I am, I will let you know. If that is not acceptable to you then perhaps you should find another seller.

Oh. I must have "misinterpreted" your no dibs rule as well then. I mean, as far as I can tell, "First one to pay gets the part(s)" means that unless the doors have been paid for, his e-mail doesn't "trump" anything. You know, I'm not really all that good when it comes to that whole "reading between the lines" thing. Now that you mention it, I totally should have been able to tell that there was some hidden subtext in the rule that implied some people are exempt from the rule and will get preferential treatment. I'm not too clever, so that went right over my head I guess.

I guess that means I must have also "misinterpreted" the list of available parts, which you've edited as recently as 12/3 (which is a full month after the chassis guy mailed you, right?). It still says:

Right front door with window glass - $150
Slight dent, can be removed by a PDR person. Window is tinted.

Right rear door with window glass - $200
Good condition - no damage. Window is tinted

I'm probably the only one who would see those parts in the list and think that they're actually for sale. I mean, I know all the other parts that have been sold say SOLD next to them, but that doesn't mean anything, right? I wish my brain worked better. Get this: I assumed that if they weren't for sale, they wouldn't be in the list, or they'd say PENDING SALE or something. I'm crazy, I know...

Yeah, I must have been chewing gum at the same time I was thinking when I made that assumption. I mean, my post wasn't even specific or anything, right? You had no way of knowing that I was interested in the doors you haven't been willing to sell for a month, since all my post said was, " I've sent an email to the stipartout@hotmail address regarding the passenger side doors". "I'll email you back today" is the only way to reply to a cryptic post like that. You must have needed the two days it took for you to send me your second reply just to figure out what the hell I was interested in buying from you. It all makes sense now!

Sorry for wasting your time.

"Cheers"

quick question for you Rob (and yikes for the last headache you had with that other guy, lol)
the intercooler spray you have. Does that come with all the parts i would need to install this for my 05 Saabaru (wrx)? I'm mildly interested but not sure if it's completely everything i need or not.

I'm still up in the air with it though so if you do get another buyer dont hesitate to jump on it.

Let me put it this way... mind you I've had way too much to drink....

I bought one a couple months back. I have not yet installed it because it seems like entirely too much work. Especially with a wagon. If you are set on getting some variety of intercooler sprayer, I would look into a compressed air system. That is just my .02 cents.

thanks, yeah i've been asking around over on the saabaru board about the logistics of the idea and it's seemingly a lot more complicated than i originally thought, so as of right now i'd say to just leave it alone and focus my energy elsewhere.

did you ever ship out the interior parts for me?
