Default 2000 Legacy GT alarm on, no remotes....

We just bought a 2000 Legacy GT today for my son to drive. One issue is that they did not have the remotes, and the alarm is on, not in valet mode. We have ordered remotes, but in the meantime, have to turn the ignition on/off 3 times to disarm the alarm every time we unlock the car. We've disconnected the horn in the meantime for obvious reasons.

Is there any way to shut the alarm system off or put it into valet mode without the remote in the meantime so we can reconnect the horn? PM me if you can help, I suppose this isn't something that should be advertised on the internet. Thanks.

Um, read the manual?

I'm sorta in the same boat, except it's my BK's factory upgrade alarm and a dieing remote/dieing antenna that's killing me.
