Default '06 WRX wheels on an '06 Outback?

This is for an Outback 3.0R with factory 17" wheels, not that it should matter. Is anyone aware of any clearance issues?

Many thanks...

You should be fine. Outback 3.0R comes with 17x7 wheels with a +48 offset, 2006 WRX with 17x7 wheels with a +55 offset (all according to cars101.com), but that's shouldn't cause clearance issues.

Thanks-- I'd visited cars101 as well. Unless I've got it reversed, the wheel will only be pushed out slightly more than stock. Plenty of brake clearance I'd imagine.

You've got it reversed I think.

It's more the tires than the wheels in this case...

Do you mean in terms of potentially rubbing? The tires have already been purchased in the stock size (I forget...), Blizzaks.

Yes, but it's usually when someone with a legacy/wrx/imprezza tries to use an Outback tire. You have more clearance due to the extra 1-2" of lift.

Yes. Otherwise, why would it rub, switching from one Subaru rim to another (of the same size)? If it's stock size, you should be just fine.

The difference in offset had me slightly concerned-- even though they are both 17" x 7"...

Nah, they're both within the recommended range for Subarus, you'll be fine.
