It's at least a second draft because it was made from the one that appeared in the Japanese magazine back in September. The German version substitutes some 08 Impreza features for the earlier guesses on the front end and adds a nice background to give it that air of plausibility. I think I like the first one better but either way we are probably not looking at what the real car will look like. Oh and bigger fogs please like on the RS and Bugeyes. Real spy pics have to come out soon don't they?

I will have to say all of those are HORRIBLY off... The original pic with the impreza gille is by far the closest... and that's way off as well.

thats what i was thinking as well
couple of things worth noting, i've heard the flares over the wheels now will be gone, it will be a little more clean cut this time around... the wing theme in the center will be similar like the legacy.. one thing we can confirm is that it will have a H4 and AWD

so we are not sure if it has 4 wheels or 6?

Kidding, I can see the same game all over again, that was played when impreza was coming out. Hopefully it will be a bit bigger than the last one, and with the better rear suspension, that impreza has, so that the trunk space may improve. Used to drive my cousins Yoshi (that's what she calls her forester in NY) really liked it.

I think the Exiga concept, more than anything will foreshadow the next Forester.

Giving the Forester seven seats to differentiate it from the five-seat Outback would be a good move on Subaru's part in distinguishing the two, which appeal to very similar markets.

i agree.. i think you'll be seeing a LOT more physical distinctions between the next gen forester and outback.. i wouldn't be amazed in the next year to see the forester and impreza sales eat legacy/outback sales, but once the redesign comes in for the legacy/outback, all 4 of these models will be fully distinct

that looks way too nice to be a forester, use more of a wing theme like in the legacy/outback, take out the flares, square off that back glass window, and add cross bars and i think it'll be closer

I am suprised that no one mentioned the 2009 forester comes in only monotone now. And, finallly the forester X will come with painted bumpers.
