Default enginuity tuner for me?

hey guys whats up? im just looking for someone on here who is very good with enginuity and has vouches. my friend know someone who he just emails his logs to, and the guy mails him back a redone map to flash on for free. im not looking to get it for free, just reasonably priced. can anyone do that for me. ill order the tactrix cable and set up the program, and just email my logs to one of you that can adjust them to some new parts i have to put on. please let me know thanks a lot

There are plenty of tuners who do this, one is a local
www . get a dom tune .com (take out the spaces, can't believe it still makes that change to google since he is a vendor now..)

I have helped tuners before but I usually set them up with a basemap and teach them to tune their own cars. I forget what Dom charges but he does exactly what you described, send him logs and he will send you modified maps back.

Dom is also highly mistaken about how the factory knock detection system works. (I had a discussion with another 'tuner' that sold XPT maps a while ago and made him look like a complete idiot. This particular tuner had a very misconstrued idea of how the knock detection syetem worked. I believe the name of this tuner was 'evasive' or something like that.) A friend of mine got a Dom Tune, and his map only allows the factory knock sensor to work up to 6200rpms. This is the factory programmed setting which is always increased to a few rpms before redline by experienced tuners. Also, Dom has left the tip-in map stock on a tune that involves modded stock injectors. Any idiot that has installed modified stock injectors knows that the tip-in value is vastly different than stock.

Basically, the influx of 'tuners' I'm seeing is mind boggling. They know how to tune stage 1 and stage 2 cars but pretend to tune 'any' car. Any idiot with a laptop can tune stage 1 and stage 2 cars where all you're doing is reducing restriction in exhaust. However, when it comes to fundamental changes (especially injectors), you need someone that knows what they are doing. Dom Tune is certainly NOT part of that group.

Luckily, I now enough about tuning not to have to rely on other douchebag tuners. Good luck to you and best of luck.

I wouldn't do an email tune. If you want to follow a mod path, there are open source solutions out there with free and pay for maps. I have done some tuning via email with people who have perm installed WBO2 (with an upgraded fuel system as well), but I would not recommend it without a WBO2.

Braden (evasive) sells XPT maps. When he first started, his maps were torn apart because they would "ride" the knock sensor. Basically he just let the ECU learn timing out. Since this criticism, his XPT maps are much more conservative and he tunes on 91 octane.
