I'd like to get a little more contact patch but stick with the stock 16 inchers that came with my '06 2.5i. Any size suggestions? These tires would only be run in the summer,BTW. Any info would help!

i dont think its a good idea to swap tires back and forth too many times. I'd buy a set of wheels to go with the tires. If your not lowering it you have plenty of room for a wider tire. I think a 245/40/17 on a 17x8 would be pretty good.

I'm a new STI owner, and would like opinions on whether to stay with 17" wheels or get 18"...the wheel I'm looking into is a Volk CE28N Time Attack.
Advantages and disadvantages?? Sorry for jumping on this thread, but I'm new to the forums, and don't have enough posts to start my own...I did a search and found nothing on this subject. Thanks a lot for any advise. |

Pros: Looks? Cons: Less sidewall so harsher ride Less sidewall so more chance of bending a wheel Heavier Tires are more expensive That's enough for me, I'll stick with 17s ![]() |
