Default Will 16" 2004-2005 WRX wheels clear 2006 four pots?

I'm thinking about going to a smaller rim and these rims are pretty cheap. advice? I searched!

I am currently in this boat as well. Do you know why they won't? From what I can tell the offset is in proportion to the width loss. I hate having rubber bands for tyres and plan on going with steel 16" rims. If factory WRX wheels won't work, does anyone know what factory steels in 16 would?

Yep, offset related in conjunction with the wider caliper, not a "height" issue.

OEM alternatives: 98-01 Impreza RS wheels will fit.

A 3mm spacer and OEM 16" WRX wheels will work <--- cheapest alternative

I don't think OEM steelies work, but again, the 15" alloys off of tire rack are a pretty cheap option....and the cost of tires goes down with 15's as well...
