Default Nascar... Ftl

Appologies if anyone in SWIC is an avid Nascar fan but I just can't stand the mentality of the croud. As some of you know I work at a hotel and boy do we have some winners staying here for the races... not to mention all the meathead football fans in for Detroit and AZ tomorrow. I don't think I've smelled so much beer and heard as many bad jokes in my life...

Americanism is good. Nascar reminds me of the freedom to drink alcohol. Other than that I no like Nascar.

I can watch it for a little, and can kinda enjoy it...

But then I get a constant deja vu sensation.

I like it how the signs on the freeway tell EVERYONE to use Litchfield and Estrella Parkway to get to PIR.

Literally took me about an hour to get off the free way 5 miles down the road to my house.

Witnessed about 3 fender benders...That was really the best part about waiting at a stop light while the cop was dancing in the center..

I drove into town last night with 6 kids from San Diego to get stuck in that Cluster Fuk for over an hour, and I was just trying to get home, and of course, they all had to pee! I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on, everyone was driving like an asshat and I saw at least three several car accidents on the way home.
Nascar is BOOORING!!!!

I went to the Cardinals game yesterday and got into it with a 300 pound Detroit friend. He grabbed my friends throat half that is half his size and started talking ish, he wouldnt come back to his seat after he got slammed down 10 sets of stairs.

Yea we were right on the end of the row by the steep stairs and the guy was trying to get into his seats a row down. I don't remember who started talking crap but all the sudden I see this huge guy go flying down the stairs. I guess the guy grabbed my friends neck and made him snap, the guy was still holding onto the beads my friend was wearing.

HAHA - Agreed - we were in my friends Outback and I commented we're probably in the only Subaru in the whole carpark! It was great for cutting through a wash to get out of our extra carpark though - while 4x2 lifted trucks struggled on the sand!!!

I'm from the UK and are more inclined to enjoy Goodwood Festival of Speed or some older F1 racing but Nascar has it's place - It helps to think of it as a pissup rather than a motorsport event... I just enjoy it as I'm from Europe and it's such an American Event - unlike anything from home... I'm not sure there's that many mullets in the UK
