Default Enginuity Logs...And Random Questions

Heres a couple logs from my 02WRX.
2.2L forged stroker
TBE
Up Pipe
Ecutek (I had a rotated kit on it before. car was put back to stock and retuned. i have since added the tbe and up pipe, no tuning.)

To correct this knock do i add fuel or just pull back my base timing map? How do I tell if Im running lean if the AFR is pegging to 11.02 at WOT?

Is there any way to tune the AFR without getting a wideband?

My base timing map seems weird from 4300-4800 (where its knocking), the values jump 10, 9, 11.

When graphing 2D base timing should the curve be linear or have a slight increasing slope, or slight decreasing slope?

Can anyone explain exactly what the Feedback Knock Correction is? Didnt have it on the 1st pull, but had it on the 2nd at 6000rpm.

Try logging less parameters. I wouldn't worry about the small amount of fine correction near 4000 rpm, but you do have a decent amount feedback correction around 6000-6100 rpm. Try logging only rpm, throttle opening angle %, engine load, manifold relative pressure (corrected), feedback knock correction, fine knock correction and boost error. Feedback knock correction is the closest thing to a knock light, at least as far as what the ecu perceives as knock.

Updated the logs with less parameters....didnt log boost error.

Why is Fine KC ok? And feedback KC not?

Also, what does boost error tell you?

Would my piston slap from the forged internals cause the knock sensor to register an event?

I didn't mean filter out the logs you already have. I mean doing another log with just those parameters I listed. The sampling rate goes down with each additional parameter you add for logging. This means you will have more useful data if you log the absolute minimum number of parameters you need to get the info your looking for.

a cold motor with forged slugs could be noisy, as well as a stock engine for that matter.

feedback knock correction is the immediate reduction in timing due to perceived knock (like merchgod said).

fine learning knock correction is a reduction in timing due to past knock events in that area of the map.

boost error is defined as target boost - current boost. So, if you are set to 18 psi and you are currently boosting 20 psi, you will register a -2 boost error. there are several turbo dynamics tables that manipulate the wastegate in cases of both negative (overshooting your target) and positive (undershooting your target) boost error.
