Default New: Legacy 6

Finally, non-Outback/Lancaster Legacy is available with H6.
Just released in Japan. Hopefully our Legacy GT will soon follow.

By the way, just in case you didn't know, Legacy's spokeperson in Japan is Jennifer Lopez

We've got an article about it here:

http://www.apexjapan.com

in english. The good news is that the flat 6 has been retuned for some more low-end grunt. The bad news is that it still is only available in autobox form, and they still haven't gotten the 5-speed auto in it either.

Yeah it is nice that Subaru is trying to push Legacy to a higher ground. A better tranny would be nice, but this is a good start.

Shirokuma, why "White Bear"?
How's the experience of owning a RSK?

Looooooong story, but that's been my id online for about 5 years now, so hard to give up, at least as a nick. If it helps, my co. name is Polar Bear Tokyo...

The RSK is a good experience, to say the least. It is different than the WRX - or at least, the WRX STI ver. IV coupe my friend has, or the new STI. Without the big torque curve in the middle, it doesn't have the torquey feel of the WRX, but builds speed deceptively fast. The low-end allows me to romp around town at 1500-3500rpm's with no problem, and the high end from 5000-7800rpm is enough to scare nearly anything on the road.

The WRX is definitely more sporty than the B4, but it's similar to the difference between the BMW M3 and the BMW M5. One one hand, you get all-out performance, on the other, more refinement, nicer ride, more interior space with nicer bits and pieces around you. You can't quite chuck the B4 through tight corners like the WRX, and I've never been able to balance a B4 on the edge of grip through a mildly fast sweeper like I can with the WRX. The longer wheelbase soaks up bumps better, though, and I personally think it's a little more stable through high-speed sweepers. It's much much quieter inside also.

The scary thing is that a B4 is cheaper than a STI WRX, and nearly the same price as a standard turbo WRX.

Default 5 speed auto

GooseMan - Not yet. Check out the apexjapan.com link above.
From the link:
"...The rumoured 5-speed auto did not surface in this lineup addition but Subaru have confirmed that a 5-speed automatic is under development... "
