Definitely in, except mine won't count as I think I am going to use another A class car.

How about change the rules to make it more "real" and allow any 'A' level car under 850 rating? It'll make this event/thread a bit different then the other one.

I am cool with any car as long as it is under A850

GT is Dolmen Tor.

If everyone wants to use other cars <A850 and not just limit it to Subie v Mitsu that's fine with me. The one reason I was hesitant to open it that way is that if you look at the fastest times on this track, it's dominated by 800-1000 hp cars that top out at 200-210 mph on the back straight and barely maintain control through the corners. While there is certainly a skill to that kind of driving it's an entirely different thing.

We can run two categories, I suppose, Subie and other. If that's what is desired, I'll edit the OP and keep track of both.

And my fastest so far: 1:24.206 in an 04 STi. Still trying to work out an equipment setup hp vs everything else but think I can wring another second from that with this setup.

Yeah lets do a Subaru group, and all other group.

Ah, crap. I've been beaten already. I used my 22B for the 1:27.316 I cut. What kind of HP/TQ is your STi making, and what sort of setup tuning wise are you using?

Sweet, I was working on the exact same thing a few weeks ago, but B class (1:27.9). Best I could get so far is a 1:23.78. With some more work though I'm sure I can cut that down some. A849, 467hp, 05 STI, 3117lbs.

I always prefer a light weight, handling car. Something in the 2700lb range, with race tires!

Just upped the ante in a 410hp/331ftlb 2425lbs Legacy w/sport tires. Pretty fun watching my STi ghost shrinking in the rearview mirror. 1:23.349

Here is my preliminary time:

Legacy 2.0 GT - 1:22.065
05 STi - 1:22.290

I had so many 21's with teh Legacy but they all had like .100 penalty or more.. so frustrating!!

Subaru:
325hp 22B - 1:24.010
478hp 05STi - 1:23.447 (had 1:22.xxx laps going several times but always lost it)

The only non-Subaru I've tried thus far:
966hp Buick GNX (no TCS or STM) - 1:24.014

Here's some Real Life video of Road Atlanta from my Subie; 340 whp / 3160 lbs (w/ driver).
NASA TTA Lap Record: 1:40.10
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqNiWJvmuts

I'm a Forza fan but I haven't had a chance to try to duplicate in Forza yet. From what I hear, Forza times are typically much faster than Real Life when compared apple to apple (or as close as possible). Something for me to try over the offseason.

Good god, that silver Porsche (GT2?) is GONE after turn-exit and straights. Sheesh.

Great run! Your STi looks super solid.

How is Forza 2 with logitech's drive FX steering wheel?

My wife just bought me 360 and i need something worthy enough to replace my GT4/logitech Driver steering wheel combo

Is it as good or any better or worse than GT4? I was amazed at logitech's wheel with GT4 so i'm very partial to that.

Is microsoft's wireless wheel better? I'm looking for the best/most realistic combo outside of my car.

My raw setup

I use microsoft's wheel and have grown to like it quite a bit. It's not quite as good as the Logitech driving force pro for PS2, but once you get used to it, it's pretty darn good. It may be different now, but until the microsoft wheel came out there were no true force feedback wheels for the 360 and the couple non-feedback wheels I tried were awful.
Here's my setup:

are there any on par with the driving force pro for the PS2? I just tried out the logitech Drive FX and i'm dissappointed. It only turns 180 degrees and it feels artificial. There is feedback but no where near the feel of the DFP for PS2.

Forza is awesome but i can't have a racing game anymore without an adequate wheel. I may have to return it if there's nothing comparable to the DFP.

Does the MS wheel turn more than 180 degrees?
