im like 99.99% sure its 5x114. there isnt any advantage for the STI to go back to 5x100.

Why would they downgrade the hubs?

Its much easier to buy new wheels than it is to swap knuckles and related components to get the non-garbage 5x114.3 hubs.

It is indeed 5x114, with 18x8.5 wheels. Not sure on the offset, but from the looks it is pretty similar to the GD chassis.

not to confuse anyone, if you goto the sti japan website and click on the parts page they display 2 optional wheels that are 18x? and it says 100mm.

...and?

While the USDM WRX STi is 5x1114.3, plenty of other STi vehicles and parts are 5x100. It doesn't mean anything.

the .jp site specifically stated the 100mm wheels were for the 08 sti. Unless this means the jdm version is 5x100 and we get 5x114 but that doesnt make sense.

Default 08 STi PCD/bolt pattern

I just ordered the Rota Torques in gunmetal. 18x8.5 114.3 48mm guaranteed by fastwrx to fit my new 2008 STI. See the description, it specifies 2008 STI.
The bummer is that I can't find any wheel manufacturers that are selling wheels autorized to fit the 2008 model because it just came out. I emailed Subaru and got the bolt pattern: 5X114.3 with 55mm offset.

what rock have you been under? there are HUNDREDS of wheels out there that fit the 08 sti since the sti has had the same wheel fitment since 2005

Really? Link to it then..... STI is 114.3, has been since 2005

Edit: I saved you the trouble, THIS is the Subaru jp STI page http://www.subaru.jp/impreza/wrxsti/utility/index.html
scroll down for the pretty wheel pictures, look at the numbers written alongside, mixed up with Japanese......
