Default 02 usdm ej205 to early ej207 swap questions

Hi everyone.

I now finnaly got my ej207 which i thought was supposed to be a ej20k. I think its from a 99-00 sti ej207. I have searched and found a lot of info for v7 and v8 swaps but not really any info on like a v5,v6 ej207. I belive all i need to do is swap my usdm wiring harness over, swap throttle bodies and tune it. Am I correct?

So far so good. I am switching over the usdm engine harness and I noticed a few things. Firstly the knock sensor has a different connection on it so it must be changed to usdm sensor , secondly the power steering pump also has a different connection on it so I am gonna take my usdm pump and bolt it on there. thats how far I am so far other than that all the other sensors plug right in. will post more results tommorow when i get more time!

Heres the progress report. The A/C compressor and bracket must be changed over, The P/S Pump and Brack must also be changed over from jdm to usdm. The reason why is that because the P/S pump wont plug in, and the A/C lines wont line up. Oh and another thing dont use the 4 bolts from the jdm A/C bracket to hold on the compressor cause the threads are different. So thats the progress thus far. got the accy's swaped over and new plugs installed and also I have the coil packs bolted on the heads. should be lonmg till she is fired up. I just need to swap out knock sensors now so the usdm engine harness will plug into it.

Oh and this is a V5 Sti swap over for future reference! Oh and I almost forgot I also had to break off a lil knub on the top of the side feed injector connectors so the usdm harness would plug in.

well after trying to use the stock ej207 v5 manifold I rant into the problem that swapping out the throttle body would cleaner correctly. So what I did was swap the usdm manifold and throttle body onto the ej207 v5 engine. should work fine. I got the engine ready to drop in and will post results soon.
