Default Rear Sway Bar Parts

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but for all of you with non-WRX 08 Imprezas that want too add the factory rear stabilizer bar from the WRX, here are the parts you'll need:

20541FG000 Stabilizer Bar ($71 at Subaruparts.com)
20464FG000 Bushing (you'll need 2)
20466FG000 Bushing Clamp (you'll need 2)
010108200 Clamp Bolts (you need 4 bolts total, but each package may contain 2 - I'm not positive)
902370046 Flange Nut - holds link to bar (you need 2)
20470FG000 Link Assembly ($40.82: you need 2)
902351001 Self Locking Nut -holds link to suspension arm (you need 2)
901000221 Flange Bolt- holds link to susp. arm (you need 2)

Looks to be about $182 worth of parts plus or minus.

Hope this helps.

Hey all.

Proud new owner of the 4door 2.5i 5spd. Dark Grey.

It's my first car and a couldn't be any happier that it's a subaru. Should be at the dealership by the end of the week. I can't wait to drive it.

I've spent the last 4 days reading forums and this is the best griup i've found. Look forward to swapping info and learning about modding my sooby with you all.

Cheers

No I haven't. I put that list together because a few of the sway bar kits that I've seen linked to on this thread don't include everything needed for the retrofit. Plus, some people may just want to stick to factory Suby parts.

I have access to that info and just figured I'd share it.

I got a 2.5i, dark grey, premium package, black interior. I bought mine back in August...I already got 16k+; i'm overdue for the 15,000 maintenence.

I kept it under 3000rpms for the first 8,000 miles. It may have been overkill, but it was well worth it. My low end is grooved so nicely.
I live in SF, low end is crucial for the hills in my 'hood.

Stock tires are crap. Change to Bridgestone Pole Positions asap. They are friggin' sweet.

I change my oil every month...anyone got good oil they wanna recomend? At this rate, the factory warranty will be up in less than a year...turbo?

EVERYTHING is still stock at this point. First thing is the sway bar...her ass is all over the place...and then I need some coilovers...anyone?

Hey everyone! I just bought my 2.5i and picking it up tomorrow!
Question is I want to get the side skirts from subaru, the OEM ones for the WRX. I cant find them online.. anyone know where I can find em?

Car color: Dark Grey Metallic and is a Sedan

Heres the front:
https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/p...oducts_id=1286

Heres the back:
https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/p...oducts_id=1266

So does anyone know of that same kit but with the side skirts? Thanksss!

I just got off the phone with a sub dealer and they told me as long as I had the VIN number off a WRX I can order skirts through them. Does that mean I have to find a WRX with the same color and everything? Obv. a sedan..

I just picked up my 08 5 door 2.5i today and boy do i love it.... don't remember the exact color name but its silver with black interior (had to get black interior lol)...but drove it off the lot with 99 miles on it already knowing they probably beat on it driving it between dealers...but im the same im driving it like an old grandma right now lol...just wishing i can last all 1000 miles, but i have a good 20 mile drive or so one way to work so that may help

Already want to put the mesh grill and swap the chrome piece out on the hatch for a painted one and def tint the windows which my dealer will do

Wow, 99 miles on the dial? I thought mine was bad with 47. Although I was able to squeeze the auto-dimming and compass rear view mirror into my deal for free since they drove from another dealer to bring it to me and it was on the car already (Thanks Ryan from Subaru of Morristown, you rock). I was practically in the same boat where you're thinking they beat on it driving between dealers. (I don't even want to think about it) *Interestingly though, I was watching "How Its Made" (I think?) on discovery channel or whatever, and when they make the cars, they test drive the **** out of it with crazy nascar maneuvers, quick short stops and turning hard. So that somewhat makes me feel a little bit better since I doubt anyone drives as crazy as those people testing the cars before they get shipped*

glad you like your new car, enjoy the stay here and welcome aboard!

Still Loving mine..11K on the dial..not a single problem worth complaining about..And..I just wanted to see what I could get out of it gas mileage-wise..so I not exactly grandmothered it..but didnt beat it either..got 30.3 MPG outta the last tank of gas..mixed driving:

crappy camera phone pic:

But a BEAUTIFUL car:

And I am soo glad I have her cause..Sad week for me...my very much so beloved 88 XT6 ( yes the bumble bee looking thing) had to be officially and permanently retired. Frame buckled while being jacked up to start doing some under body work. I am heartbroken cause I have so much time/effort/blood/sweat/tears into it.
But I am so thankful for my problem free Imppy..and around here she gets a boat load of attention..everytime I am at the car wash..someone else asks about her.

I just hope others are just as happy as me with theirs ( I know some arent but that happens with every make model out there). And I just love all the pics..Show Off your Rides!! They are all Gorgeous in IMO

Looks like white is very popular for the 08 models.
Here's my 08 5 door 2.5i with 18" x 7.5 Elite RSL Pro Titanium wheels & BFGoodrich G-Force 225/40-18 tires. I was looking for black wheels until I ran across the titanium finish wheels, they just seemed to look right with the white paint. I'm glad I didn't go with smaller wheels, I was thinking 17" at 1st, but the 18" tires have plenty of room to spare.
