bradyarz that pic has no processing. I just got lucky.

krzywhtboi82 can you post pics of your headlights? I've thought about modding headlights, but dont want to break that waterproof seal on em.

I plastidipped my grill and it looks ****ty up close so I'm hoping to repaint it whenever I feel motivated. I just cant seem to justify modifying this car anymore since the plan is to trade it in next year.

I used trim paint so it has that smooth oem feel. I also sprayed adhesive promoter first so it would stick.

I just did adhesive and trim paint twice and there's no chipping or anything

The issue with plastidip is that its really hard to get an even coat... Ive noticed with painted rims, and the chrome piece on the trunk, looks like crap up close.

Maybe you're laying it on too thick? I didn't have any problems when I did my grill and bumper guard. Planning on doing my wheels after I get new tires as well.

I've never had a problem with plasti dip. According to their website, it breaks down itself when doing layers and re-cures. Which causes it to dry smooth. So essentially you can lay it thick if you want.

Its also the way you apply it....too far and it'll create a textured surface, too close and it'll most likely run. Just got to be patient and apply sufficient amounts to the painting surface.

Might just be my wheels, but I read that it recures too, but it seems like on a large surface area it just doesn't recure as well, because in some spots, there are some surface level differences, but really hard to tell.

But also, I did paint my wheels when it was still on the car, so that could also be It for sure. .

Coverking seat covers!
I've had these for like 8 months or so but for those with the tan interior these are a great looking and match well.

I was going to get those in leather or fake leather.. They aren't perfect, but look really good. Are they the most expensive custom fit or the lower cost fit?

Those are the spacer mesh custom fit covers. So they were the cheapest material they offer, I chose it over the neoprene because it's cool and breathable IIRC it was about $230 shipped.

seat covers are a safety issue, due to the side air bags wont fully deploy properly which can cause more harm then safe

I've painted my wheels and other chrome pieces with plastic dip on all the cars I've owned. I've found out that it all depends on how clean the surface is and the distance you spray from. I personally put three or four coats of plastic dip and then three or four coats of valspar paint for plastic. Its still removable but has a great finish.

Coverking seat covers are airbag safe. They have cut aways in the fabric so they do not obstruct the airbag from deploying properly.

I also have seat covers from coverking..i have had them for over a year and love them. The rears started to rip a little but I just restitched them and havent had any other problems since then. You can also see that the rears are made to have the center come down (brain fart on the actual name) but our cars are not equipped with that option so it just looks a little awkward. Not sure if Dillion has the same issue
