I havent yet. I honestly want to try and paint it myself but I will see how much a local place will charge to paint first then go from there.

That was my same impression when I first test-fitted it but I think it would look more subtle looking with the lip painted. Thanks for the feedback though!

Quit stealing my ideas!
My original plan was to get the oem style lip, paint it, then get the bayson-r lip and mock it up below the oem style lip that I just got. I think the middle section of the bayson-r lip may have to be sanded down in order to fit which is really the only thing Im concerned about and cost of course

Shouldn't be too bad I think it'd look really aggressive with both lips or try the JNA Performance WRX lip which is under $100

Just seeing if there's any interest in a AP-SUB-004 for non-turbo 05-08 Impreza Accessport , I bought the accessport about a month ago and I love what it did with the car, and it drives great, but change of plans and might do a swap so I was seeing if there's any interest in it. price is $205 shipped pm me or email me at theiceman88@verizon.net

Not necessarily interested in buying but I would be interested to hear how it affected the cars tune , did you just flash your ecu from one of the maps on it or did you get a custom tune and then stored it on the accessport?

When I've talked to some tuners about OS tuning for the 08+ cars, most of them say that the real benefit will not be power. Don't expect much more. The benefit is in improved throttle mapping (electronic throttle) so the car may feel more responsive and fun to drive.

So far, it's not a mod that tops my list of things to do, or even comes close to the top. Not a big bang for the buck. Still, I may do it someday.

I installed an sti rsb with RalliTEK endlinks a few weeks ago and was really enjoying the difference in handling, but today I looked under my car and the endlinks are completely dis-attached from the rsb! Has this happened to anyone else?!

Wow. Yes me. I e-mailed RalliTek asking them what size and pitch the nut was.

"I'm sorry to hear about the nut falling off. The thread pitch and size that you will need should be 10X1.25 It is a very common thread pitch and diameter. Any local hardware store should have these nuts.

If there is anything else that I can help you with please let me know.

Take care and good luck

Those nuts Rallitek give you are supposed to be better than a vinyl lock-nut, and are supposed to lock with the shape of the nut. Obviously that doesn't work.

Also one of you's guys told my yours rusted away- so Rallitek supplied nuts aren't good even if you could get them to stay put!

I think I'm going to go get some stainless 10X1.25 nuts with vinyl locking insert and also use some Loctite. I think the Loctite Blue Threadlocker 243 would be the one to use.
http://www.henkelna.com/industrial/p...UID=0000000HX3

edit...
After a little more research, I think a grade 5 nut would be fine, just coated with zink or something stronger to stop corrosion.

-I bet a good solution would be to use two nuts if they would fit. Just the standard method of tightening the first nut to 1/4 to 1/2 final ft lbs torque, then holding it with a wrench and tightening a second nut on top of it to the final torque spec, whatever that may be for this application. Not sure if there's a torque recommendation in the instructions.. but you get the idea. If there's no room for second nut, then loctite it is.

My roll bars and hardware are sitting on my foosball table.. I'll go look and see if two nuts will fit.
edit..
two probably won't fit, and there are torque specs- Something like 46 ft lbs rear, 30 front...

Got my 30k done yestarday, and wow, drives differently. First off, changed brake and steering fluid. I'm amazed. Lol. And then they found a bad front driver side bearing that had seized up (still driveable, but lots of stress on driveline) , so they replaced that and now driving is totally different.

I usually defer a lot of "recommended" services as a matter of course, but I finally got around to a full injection system cleaning at 105k miles, and not only can you feel a bit more pep in her step again, but my fuel economy has gone up about 2.5mpg on the highway. I had about 30.5 mpg for 40 miles at 73-74 mph.

Not saying everyone run out and get one, but if your miles are getting up there and your mpg's are going down, give it a shot if you can spring for it.

Took my car on a 100+ mile trip to get out from under the cloud cover last night to see sun set with Venus going across. Even took it on a couple dirt roads.. Still drives like bran new with 26k miles without the 30 month maintenance. I'm still going to do it though!

Hey when you guys pass someone or get on it really hard, say up to 5500 RPM full throttle, do you ever smell anything?

I passed some chucklhead in a crappy grand prix going 50 in a 55mph zone.. He kept slowing way down so I looked for an opening, put it 4th and let her ripp. Of course the dick floored his crap heap, I was going about 75 by the time I passed him.

I'm sure some of the smell was his **** pile destroying itself.. but I have noticed getting on on-ramps if I push the engine, one in a while I smell something. It doesn't smell like burning oil.. but a ''hot'' smell of some sort.

Any ideas?

Hmm.. I do smell Anti-freeze fluid/gas sometimes in the car when im on it, when the AC is on. Then I dont smell it anymore.

But then i turn my cars AC onto recirculating in cabin, not using outside air.
