I agree, very frustrating to install. As for the fog light covers, I got these http://www.premiumautostyling.com/pr...light_overlays
Pre-cut and have not burned- or at least that I know of lol.

Lol I was just about to post about this. Well I just installed them and their not too bad to install

I just sprayed the fogs with soapy warm water then I cleaned it with a exacto knife. Then I sprayed some more of the water so it wouldn't stick and put the cover on and just blow dry it and flatten with a squeegee. It took me like 15min, the only bad thing is the seller decided to stick them on a sticker like paper so it stuck and I had to manually scrape the paper off
That took most of the time

Scoobymatt and DirknJirkn13 did you have to buy a new light bar when you bought the spoiler?

An OEM one actually should come with the light, but since I bought mine used it didn't come with one. The stock light from the 2.5i wing doesn't fit either... Subaru wants $220 for the replacement brake light which is outrageous. I'm just going to get a generic light and rig it in there like I saw someone else did in 3gwrx

Why not just plasti-dip it as an cheap alternative until you can afford different?

No it's just grey primer, not SWP.

Mine came with the 3rd brake light but it was never used or mounted. It is directly from Subaru I believe.

Glad you found the wing! It looks pretty sweet.
But I feel you on the wheels - I found the set that I want, I just have to save for them now.

It looks like I'll be helping my friend plasti-dip the wheels on her forester, so while I'm fooling around with that, I think I might try making eyelids with the stuff. Any tips?

Put on some Rally Armor UR flaps today. Definitely makes the car look better. They are black with grey lettering.

Car is now stock!
Figured I'd let you 2.5i guys have the first dibs on my stuff!

Red/white Rally Armor UR flaps ($50+shipping)

The pictures make them look much dirtier than they actually are lol. Also, I don't have the hardware so what you see is it.

Rally Innovations lightbar/Hella 500FF/3000k HID kit ($300 local pick up)

The way this is intended to mount to the car is a joke! I drilled small holes and bolted a thin piece of metal to it and welded the other end to the bumper beam. Before I did this it bounced around like crazy and eventually bent the small tab causing it to drag on the ground... So, with that said don't complain that the mounting hardware sucks. I used zipties for a while and it was better than before to be honest. I have all the wiring for the lights/HID/switch and will label everything to make the install as easy as possible!

I changed my oil for the first time myself today. It was pretty straight forward except that I had to take off the front bumper so I could drive up on ramps since I don't have jack stands.

I installed the Fumoto drain valve while I was under there, and it seems to work well so far.

Nice, I have to do mine this week. What oil and filter did you use?

Lately my car has trouble starting every now and then. When i crank it, sometimes it wont turn over. It'll take around two times to kick up most times but there were times it took three or more. I want to take it in for a warranty claim but like always, they say "When we checked it, we didnt see anything wrong with it." Anyone experience anything of the sort? Any ideas what it could be? No major service done yet, been doing it since maybe 20k , I just hit 25k miles yesterday.

I used the blue Subaru filter and 5w-30 synthetic G-Oil (it was free at Walmart after a rebate).

I think that's painted though isn't it? Really helps the sedan out in looks if you ask me. Mine came with the spoiler and sports grill so I lucked out.

Could be the battery. Apparently the oem battery will die randomly. I've had my car do that a few times before but not really consistently.

I put an Optima Yellow top in my '09 2.5i at 25,000 miles.

The stock battery was probably technically ok, but I wanted more reserve for a big stereo. Plus it cranks over a lot stronger now, and the voltage stays more constant when idling- like on a rainy night when lights, rear defrost, AC compressor for windshield defrost, and stereo are all on at the same time.

With factory Subaru battery, it just seemed like it barely did the job. I'd replace the battery first even though there may be something else wrong.

Have you (or anyone else for that matter) looked into the 140 amp alternator retrofits? I'm intrigued, but don't know much about them. I can't recall the company name off the top of my head, but I'll see if I can find it later.

I actually did do some research.. there was a company that had a wide range of prices on higher amperage alternators that fit my car. One was like 600+ dollars, but some were cheaper. Can't remember off the top of my head what the name was..

My amp is a 5 channel MTX that takes three 30 amp fuses. I'm running the sub channel at 2 ohms, so it's drawinga lot of power. The battery cures all my "problems" though, so no need for an alternator so far.

If just changing the battery didn't help my car at all (I had slightly dimming headlights rarely- when pushing subwoofer very hard), I would have started looking harder for a bigger alternator. It's amazing how much better that Yellow top is compared to the non-sealed Subaru thing.

edit- it might have bneen "dc power engineering" alternators.. I think it was a different website than this though..

Maybe your just consuming too much power? All ive heard is good stuff about yellow top/optima batteries-may have to invest in one of those once the battery dies
