The quality is good. They just feel real loose with the dampners on 1 but at like even 10 highway driving is quite bad. Any bumps is like a pothole but it's not aweful

I think it's that dampening/springs just aren't quite there. The whole set up works and preforms how you'd expect it to. But I don't think it works well. I feel like it's just painfully obvious that there is a lot of room for improvement.

Stance GR+? Where are you finding those? All I can find are STi fitment.

I don't think ISC or D2 will be better than BC. I have heard good things about Fortune Auto if you are trying to stay on a budget.

ISC is similar to the BC's except... They have larger more durable bodies, rebuilt locally, and cheaper.

Sounds like a win, win, win to me.

I can't find any info on this larger, more durable body. They are Australian, which last I checked, isn't local. Although AJW seems to be running the show. I also wouldn't call a $40 price difference cheaper. They're the same price.

I'm not trying to bash ISC, I just wouldn't recommend them. The same way I wouldn't recommend BC.

It's safe to say that in the end, all $1000 entry level coilovers are pretty much the same. You just get a different set of letters to slap on your ePeen.

$875 shipped from Import Image Racing in some group buy they have on here. Obviously
It's not a made in USA product, AJW just rebuilds them, I sent my rears to be done after they were froze up (purchased used but New England winters will do that . I asked AJW what the difference between BC's and their product was and they mentioned the larger diameter body. Also, you can order custom spring rates at no additional cost!!. But yea they are nothing compared to the $3000 Tein suspension a buddy of mine has on his car but, we all drive 2.5i's so, IMO anything besides an entry level coilover couldn't be justified by the cost.

cayuga, ontario. about an hour half drive from toronto. this track favours powerful cars because of its 2 long straights. to be honest i do not see the point of upgrading the suspension (aside from the rear 11 sti sway bar). there was a fully moded 2.5i manual there and i did not see much difference in the time. it's all about how you take the corners.

on a seperate note i have a question regarding brakes. since i literaly smoked my oem pads at the tracked, i am thinking of replacing the whole brake system with hawks hp pads and blank rotrs plus a master cylindar brace. But some places are offering me 2 different sizes of rotors?! they all claim that it will fit the 2.5i? one is:

ebc blank rotor 11.6"ebc blank rotor 11.6"

the others are the standard 10.8" rotors that came with car. so does this 11.6" fit as amazon.com and other websites claim? i rather go with bigger rotors.

The 11.6 I believe are off the wrx which you can easily use ifI you get the wrx brake caliper bracket. The pads and caliper are the same just the rotor is a tad bigger to help with heat fade

Yep, as stated a few posts up the larger rotors are for the WRX. I swapped the front brakes for those from the WRX (rears are the same), the larger (and heavier) rotor will help with help with heat dissipation, plus you have a little extra braking force for the same pedal input as you have the same pads & calipers clamping the disc further away from the centre (though more noticeable when daily driving).

Hawk HPS pads are ok for small tracks e.g. St-Eustache here in Montreal, but for the larger tracks with big straights you would possibly want HP+ or even something more heavy duty. You're better off talking to people locally about what you might need for a particular track.

One of the best mods you can do (which you already aluded to) is the driver. Get yourself on an instructor-led lap'n'learn day or similar, you'll have a lot of fun and won't believe what your car is capable of....

You just straight up put WRX rotors on your 2.5i? No caliper brackets?

Exactly, I bought the whole kit (including brackets) from a WRX owner that upgraded his brakes.

Default opinions.

need to upgrade from the hubcap 16's I'm currently running
thinking of picking up these Enkei SR6's 17x7.5, what do you guys think?
i think think bronze goes good with the DGm, or some white wheels?
Car is on stock suspension for now
