you can try going to the photoshop thread, they do a really good job

IMO, they would look nice. 17s would be perfect and i'd prefer a little bigger spokes, i feel like 16s are too small on imprezas. but i'm a little biased since i have 17 stockies

IMO depends what your going to drive.. if your off-road I would get the 16. Also if you have a lot of potholes 16 are safer IMO since the skinnier 17 tires are bound to create a buldge after a hard hit to the sidewall. That's what happened to My michellen ice x tires on the way to lake Tahoe. 17 are nice for the style IMO though, but that's about it I can say..

Try NOT to drive over potholes then and your problem will be resolved

18's aren't good for some of the roads around here. I got 17x8 and like them.

Depends on the spoke design... Some 18s aren't so bad.

Definitely like those :] but is weight going to be an issue for running 18s?

Those look pretty nice I'll admit, but generally most 18" wheels do unfortunately

Certain 18's are actually pretty lightweight but it depends how deep your pockets are I recall seeing quite a few enkei's that were below 20lbs, even a few rota wheels as well...

The ones I posted above were 18x8 and only 17.95 lbs according to Enkei's website.

Car is on stock suspension for now

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you... but I bought some OEM 16's from a friend to replace the steel wheels... and they don't look terrible and are holding me over till I get some 17's.

I have hated my steel wheels, and am due for tires. Found a guy selling the stock 09 WRX wheels with brand new tires for 600. Couldn't pass that up...

A present to myself for learning how to do minor body work and saving myself 600. And that was the least expensive quote I had. It looks brand new after about 8 hours of my own work...

Mesh style? Similar to mine? BBS?

I have Rotas and every set is a five spoke variation.

I do not have BBS wheels. Never have.

The closest that one has ever gotten to my car.

It looks so nice.

^ Yup.. It was a little (lot in front) more difficult to install... because of screw- hole interference. It worked out ok though. Had to drill one extra hole in front flaps and use longer hardware for one of the stock screws IIRC.
