Ok so I had a 2012 wrx rear swaybar on my 09 2.5i and today I picked up a 2012 sti rear sway bar...and it doesn't fit. I dont get it I though the rsb was interchangeable.

Ill post pictures soon im still under the car trying to see whats going on

the D bracket becomes unaligned when i put the endlink bolt into the end of the swaybar.

When i line up the d bracket the swaybar sits to low to fit onto the endlink bolt.

Overflow. The level changes depending on the engine temperature. The level goes up as the engine gets warmer.

Is the car on level ground? The alignment problems you're seeing could be because the suspension on one side is compressed more than the other.

@JourdanWithaU Yea the car is on my drive way(perfectly flat) and i have both sides of the car jacked up with both rear wheels off the ground. Its weird because o can push the bar down and make it fit...but i don't feel comfortable leaving it like that, like im gonna be putting extra strain on it or somthing.

Take the car off the jack and you need to force the bar and links into place. Especially if one side is already in tight.

are you tightening one side at a time? Your suppose to put all the bolts on loosely then you tighten them all together

Just force it together. It's a piece of spring steel, it's going to be fine.

Same thing except I got RCE yellow's. On full soft it feels a lot firmer than stock but is still comfortable for rough roads in the city. The yellow's also drop your car slightly less than the H&R springs.
If you contact boston motorsports ( a vendor here on nasioc) Im sure they could get a combo deal for you

Here's some pics of some of the things I've been doing to my 2.5i over the last couple of weeks:

Painted over the beige center console with Rust-Oleum Satin black (made for any surface) - Added a shift knob to match.

Haven't decided what I'm going to do with the brake boot yet.

Used a black Plasti-dip on the hatch door panel. I wanted this darker because equipment I haul was scuffing the light beige up really bad.

Replaced the stock radio head unit with a JVC. This one has bluetooth and lets me make calls through my phone + stream pandora/mp3's.

Also, my stock HU didn't have AUX and CD-player stopped reading CD's. It's mated with a Scosch double-din adapter specifically for 2008 Impreza.

The JVC HU really brought the stock speakers to life - the sound quality and bass is x10 better now - might blow them? I don't care.

I'm working on some other projects at the moment and will post updates.

Adding Hella High/Low Supertones - should be here by end of week
Replacing front Grill - blacking it out/removing badge?
Blacking out rear chrome trim - possibly badge removal - haven't decided
Experimenting with plasti-dip and stock steelies (they're rusting up pretty nicely and need something to make them look a bit nicer )

I like what youve done with your preza you should plasti drip your head unit surround and dashboard trim to match the shifter trim. I painted my steelies white(was thinking yellow if I get a bit funky) but theyre my winter wheels set so.

You could always rip the dip off. That's why I dipped most of my interior. Can you post pictures from the phone app?

I'm most likely going to paint over the dash trim at some point - right now I'm waiting to see how the black paint on the center console holds up. It's been a few weeks without any flaking or scratches removing paint. So far so good.

If/when I do it, I'll probably use the same black paint I used on the center console instead of plastidip.

I like using plastidip on pieces I'm unsure of - as it can be removed extremely easily if needed (just tear it off).

Plastidip is pretty durable from what I've seen so far; although, if anything hard or sharp drags across it, it may tear up a bit.

I applied it to my rear chrome trim - not sure how much I like it yet, as I may want something a bit darker/shinier.

KevinKe,

You should just get your hatch trim paint matched. Overall I think the paint match would look much better than stock or plastidip. But for the mean time the plastidip seems okay

Plastidip steelie - I like it a lot more than with the hubcaps.

I know that'd be great. I wonder how pricey it is?
