Was walking around home depot and came across these metal strips (I think its for gutters) and a light bulb went off in my head. They were white so I plasti-dipped it and cut it to fit. Opinions? I want to try and roll the ends so it follows the body better.

Are those lights just bolted into the stock license place holes? I like it. Pair that with a quick-connect type connection for the wires and you have a great removable set up for when you need it.

Yeah but I'm picking up a Rally Innovations Light Bar so I'll be mounting them on those.

Hmm that actually looks okay. How heavy are they? Also are they completely flat or is it sort of like a L shape with a 90 degree bend?

Got it up to 105-ish pulling away from a G37 on the highway. I know she was trying to pass me.. I saw it was chick when I took my exit. How's that possible? I don't know. Maybe poor maintenance, gearing, weight, slushbox? Combination? I was laughing.

Looks decent. Probably would be better if it flowed with the body. Quite honestly I think the same effect can be achieved with the garage door liner.

Or they weren't trying to out do you? Friend of mine has a g37s coupe and it hauls ass, compared to a 2.5i

But at a certain point (ie dragging the frame, rubbing wheels/tires, etc...) it's not a good thing haha.
When I was low OMG the looks and impatient drivers were hilarious!
Were I live we have a 'flea market' in the town over and I live in the town with all the restaurants and hotels so at the gas station I was blocked in. car in front pumping gas and behind was a 'flea' waiting for gas. I go to drive off the curb (only 1-2") get out look and it won't clear lol. Tell the lady she has to back up for me and she FREAKS because she is too impatient and finally floors it in reverse slamming into someone else as they were pulling in because the pumps are on the edge of the road/entrance.

Also worked at a delivery place and that was a fun challenge the police came in all the time and I remember 1 officer looking at the front wheels as I walked out (tucking half the tire the day I installed the coils he told me it's unsafe to cut the springs like that...

Are those xxr 527s 17s or 18s i love them and their color.

@Digital Dillon Yea my tires are tucking right now too lol i think it looks sexy. I'm surprised i could go this low without rolling or pulling the fenders, and surprisingly i don't rub at all my bumper actually hits the ground before i rub lol.

They are very light..I will post a picture tomorrow of an unfinished piece that I have left over. but it basically is an L shape with a few extra bends. It actually will look pretty good once I bend the metal to fit the body.

I will be using a block of wood (cut to shape) and a rubber mallet in attempt to curve the metal to match the body of the car. imo, this looks better than the garage door liner because it is solid and not flimsy. Its surprisingly cheaper too.

I was thinking of doing that with garden edging. It has a thick rounded part that looks good and then use the flat side to secure it to the body.

You could then make a front lip and cut slits in the flat side so it curves with the body

I think trying to make big bends like that would be very difficult and time consuming with that. It would be so easy to make a crease in it and then it would be near impossible to fix I would imagine.

But if you made slits in it the plastic would bend easily at that point. Maybe I'll try it one day?
