Just replace the stars in the link with the correct 4 letter word. Once you do, and you read it, you'll understand...

I was under the impression they were supposed to be bleeped out...yo man im JDM as F**K... in japan they probably got USDM as F**K stickers everywhere... Yea probably not...

Didn't end up getting first like I hoped, but I'm still very happy with my results. I got second place in the "First Timers" class. I've got plenty of work to do lol

That's not bad. 2nd out of 8 is pretty good. That's the same result I got a couple weeks ago.

What are the car classes based off of? If they're based off of SCCA, your car is not STX. You're either in STC or DSP depending on how wide your wheels are. I made the same mistake.

7 runs is also a ****ton of runs. What does "+O/C" mean?

I honestly have no idea what the classes are haha I just asked the guys at tech and thats where they placed me. My tires are only 235 so I doubt I'm in a wide tire class. Luckily there was not a ton of people there so we got plenty of runs. Oh, "+O/C".... ummm means off-course hahaha Tried pushing it a little too much in the begining and I lost track of the cones.

Tire size makes no difference. You can run whatever size tire you want. STC cuts off at 7.5" wheel width. Anything wider than that and you're in DSP. STX goes up to 8" but your engine doesn't meet the STX requirements.

Oh okay, well I'm running a 8.25 wheel width so maybe that would do it. Thanks for the heads up. They also factored in that I have a catback exhaust and the hybrid intake. ( I didn't tell them about the sway bars, struts or springs either)

If I told them all of those things it would of put me in a completely different class that I wouldn't of even had a shot in. Not like they were big aftermarket upgrades either besides the springs. 09 wrx struts, 11' sti rear sway lol Technically stock

I told them everything I had and I was in STS class and placed 8th out of 22 and it was my first time doing it ans I beat a wrx, m5, brz. And some other cars

@fancyfootwork15, replaced the stocks with some component pioneers up front (swapped out stock tweeters with the included components) and upgraded 2 ways in the rear and stock radio seems to push them fine and clear. If i remember correctly, fronts are rated for 80rms and rears at 45. Not sure if the stock ones could handle an amp for very long, they did their job but did not seem exceptionally sturdy...

I have some Focal Polyglass (see a couple pages back) up front rated 60 rms and 120 peak. Running them off my Pioneer HU which pushes 14rms. I think our stock HU pushes between 5-7rms per channel which is just way underpowered. I spoke with a guy at Crutchfield who recommended a Rockford two way that pushes 75w to each speaker. Said the extra watts is actually better to do than under powering them.

Just picked up my 08 DGM Hatchback with 30,000 miles. So far loving the 25.9mpg I got without even driving gently (came from a Pathfinder <15mpg on a granny nanny day).

Glad to have a car I can semi-mod, didn't need the turbo or increased costs associated with WRX/Sti.

Plans:
Tail light overlay
Tints
Sway bars
WRX grill

(FWIW, I've been lurking for months but didn't make an account until I was sure I'd get one)
