Anyone on here put 02-07 WRX/STi seats in their car? Got a deal on bugeye seats and am wondering if it'll bolt in and what the airbag situation is like..?

Thanks!

From my understanding, the STI hood does cool the engine while moving at speed, but radiator is less efficient at lower speeds

Because the hood is not functional but 08-13 WRX and STi hoods will fit.

Edit: it cools the engine yes by forcing cool air (and all kinds of other ****/dirt) on the torque box but, it's not necessary and the gains are most likely minimal, if at all.

Not so sure about the airbag situation but Im sure you could find something if you research lol. All I know is the 02 wrx seats feel amazing compared to ours!
I would think the seat rails would either be close or at worst case you would have to modify your current rails to fit onto the 02 seats but I dont think much has changed....

Would a 17x9 wheel with an offset of +35 have trouble fitting in our wheel wells? Granted I know a more optimal offset would be +48. But I prefer the +35. Im thinking of buying new wheels and I rather know before I lay down the cash.

I think digital dillon ran a setup like that w/drag31's but he's lowered on coils from what I remember. I have 17x8+35 and I'm barely lowered with no fender mods and i would maybe go half an inch wider at most if I could but I love my 17's

Hey all I plan on buying a set of 17x8.5 +40 is that too much for a stock suspension? And I don't wan ridiculous Lo- pros. I like the sidewall size of my stock set up but I keep getting told to get 17s instead of 16s. I was looking at the Enkei RPF1. Any wheel suggestions?

Are you talking about the cross bars or just the snowboard carrier?

Yeah u need cross bars then the snowboard attachment... as for cross bars I had the stock ones and they felt cheap they bent when I had my bike on them for a trip to Vermont. I have Thule not and their very strong smart investment.

Has anyone had any rattling when u throw it in reverse or stalled? Sounds like a heat shield. My headers don't have a heat shield neither does my catback. Already removed those. Clues to what other heat shields or pieces I could check?

-Thanks in advance

Thanks, I'm pretty sure I have to change over the entire base but it's not too much work after looking at the bottom of the WRX seats

That sounds like a summer project for me :lol

Does anyone have seat covers right now? How much do they run? Cause I've seen ones that run $100+ for our cars. Or should I get a generic one and customize that one?

Ha, I would love to fit tires with 8.5" sidewall for monster truck status!

According to the miata.net tire calculator, the smallest tire with an 8.5" sidewall is a 255/85/13

Spend them money on Coverking covers! I have the spacer mesh covers and they fit and look great!

Excuse the messy car haha!

Also, notice the front covers have cut-outs for the airbags!
