Coilovers include the entire strut assembly, the rubber boot, top hats, and everything pre-assembled.
...for an extra $100 you can get Raceland coils which a few people can chime in on that like them.

I've also heard that if you get them from england you'll be better off.

Race lands are like the lowest quality coils imo. If your gonna go for coils then I would suggest saving up. Ive heard they can't stand any sort of spirited driving

But I suggest spring strut combo if you dont plan on racing or ever changing the height or dampner set; itll save you loads of money

Thats awesome! Do you know what engine series you have and how does the "R" model differ from the base model?

That's pretty interesting. I wonder if the only difference is the spring rate...If anyone actually knows, let us know!

I meant I'd recommend Racelands over STi pinks on OEM struts :P

Sorry 09+ struts can be had for real cheap an springs are $200. The Koni inserts are awesome but I don't know how much they cost? $600 I think?

To my understanding, there are 2 versions STI pinks: 1 for STI & the other 1 for WRX/2.5i/OBS. Both versions will most likely blow our OEM struts/shocks in no time.

I'm not sure the spring rate for STI ones, but according to THIS they are PRETTY stiff. As for WRX/2.5i/OBS ones, they are 187.5 lbs/in F & 172.5 lbs/in R... they are stiffer than 2.5i/OBS & 08 WRX but softer than 09+ WRX.
Also, they don't lower THAT much at all... 10mm (about 0.4").
Most of the used ones I see for sale are for WRX/2.5i/OBS. I haven't really seen the used STI ones for sale.

I think the better option is to get used 08-10 STI springs (similar to 09+ WRX) but the fronts are about 0.5" lower than 09+ WRX so BETTER stance. Probably a good idea to match them w/ 09+ WRX struts/shocks.

What u think a set up like that would go for.

Edit.... I can get eibach and kyb's for 600 roughly. I had that on my supra and it was a really good ride and stance. I also had front and rear strut bars and f/r sway bars

Yes 100% direct fit. 2008 is the same and 09+ they beefed it up for a sportier ride.

Yes, direct fit. 09+ WRX struts/shocks are stiffer (similar as 08-10 STI). Just make sure NOT to get 08 WRX struts/shocks... they are the same as 2.5i ones.

Easy being installation difficulty? Suspension upgrades are fairly straightforward. Cosmetics and lighting are some as well.

Where do you lowered guys get your alignments? I was turned down yesterday because they couldn't get my car on the alignment rack.

Yes, as quick at possible if you can. After lowing my car it looked alright so I drove for a bit, maybe 350kms. When I brought it in the alignment guy said my tires were toe in, and wouldn't have lasted much more than a few months.

I've thought about it but i'm hesitant. I got pulled over for no rear bumper a few months ago. NJ cops are super anal. Buddy of mine got ticketed for 50% tint on his si. What im asking though is where you get your alignments done, Or do them yourself?
