I do plan on keeping my fronts stock, problably upgrade rears to 19 or 20mm

I'm getting the Sumimoto XTR Z III. The ratings were pretty good on tire rack and the reviews were also

I have the Rallitek 19mm rear, 22mm front swaybar kit.. But I have only installed the rear so far. http://www.rallitek.com/RalliTEK-Ant...08-2011/p-4386

I run 225/45/17 Kumos on 8'' rims.. with otherwise stock suspension. The first night I installed it, I went for a test drive on a familiar twisty road.. It was slightly damp with wet leaves around and I had to an emergency lane change maneuver to dodge a gigantic opossum while I was going about 60 mph. I experienced zero snap oversteer.. in fact my car handled the violent turn great, the traction control didn't even come on..

Even on the highway going 90mph around a long sweeper over uneven pavement I didn't notice any tendencies for any snap oversteer. The car just feels infinitely more planted and stable than before.

Well...I just floored my car to 6k for the first time in my year of ownership. It was an experience...wrx here I come! But in all honesty it was faster than I had expected!

I recall you saying this before
Similiar setup but on hankook's and koni/rce yellows and same response. Very crisp turning, no snap oversteer occurred unless Im seriously hooning when its pouring rain out, all on a private road of course

Yup.. and I will learn more about this setup when it finally snows, etc.. I'll probably get around to installing the front 22mm bar soon too, and that should help balance the car out, but I do enjoy the feel as is.. That stiff rear end is fun, I can feel a lot more front end bite on corner entry, but I can tell that 19mm rear bar is working overtime, helping the entire car to lean less actually. The front bar will help it out a lot.

My 5 speed goes pretty good too.. Especially from 80 to 100 mph on the highway blasting past fools in WRX's that get in my way. I have passsed 100's of them and only a couple have passed me if that says anything. I guess that has more to do with balls and a heavy right foot that anything else, but a slow car going fast is more fun than a fast car going slow.

At least in the fast car....well you got a fast car. Honestly I always shift at 3k and down rarely sees 4k. Getting to 6k was something different. Also about the sway bars when I got my sti bar it was a night and day difference. The second I put on the coilovers it changed into a whole new car and driving was epic. Safe to say from now all my future cars will have aftermarket coilovers

I take my car up to 6k frequently. I like to have a lot of fun with this car, ok yeah it's not a wrx but still it moves! And handling is really my favorite part. I sad to say previously owned a Honda accord 07 4 cyl and this car is not even comparable. It is much more fun to drive.

On a side note. Do you guys warm your cars up before daily driving? I do jt every morning and my girlfriend always complains lol

I give it about a minute or two. In the mornings I start the car, check the mail box, then get in the car plug my phone in (for music), seat belt and go! And after work or just going out I just get situated in the car, mess around with the climate control, music, seat belt, etc... before going so it has a little time to get the juices flowing

Also, I keep it in 3rd gear (auto) till the heat is working!

I live in Canada, and I like my car, I let it warm up for 20 minutes minimum when in its -10 out.

Those mornings are the worst. Hope my battery lasts this winter. Going on 45k and 5 winters (I think) now.

Talking about letting a car idle to warm up, i took auto tech class and it was a big debate in one of my classes and we came to the conclusion that it's actually NOT a good idea, not only are you wasting gas, and clogging your catalytic converter, it's also not allowing everything to flow thru the engine efficiently because it takes the car much longer to warm up by sitting compared to being driven.

It's best to let the car warm up by driving it, but keeping the RPMs below 2k until the engine is at optimal temperature.

Here's a link that talks about it too.

Interesting. When it's -10 out and it's hard to get the car in gear because everything is frozen, I'd still let it heat up for 5 minutes.

When its very cold in the morning and I start my car it idles at 2k rpm, no lie. It levels out after a bit but doesn't drop to its normal 800-900 rpm until its idled for 15 minutes. That's what I wait for before driving. But I don't drive it as I would normally until I have driven it for a bit and its truly wormed up.

And I would also like to add that compared to the 2k idle in the cold mornings, I usually drive around town between 1500 and 2500. And at the back at my exhaust tip it's pushing out massive plumes of exhaust at idle in the cold mornings.

I'm sure idling doesn't do much for a 1.6l pos Honda but our 2.5l have some grunt to it. Not to mention that I have a less restrictive magnaflow high flow cat in my rallisport headers

How much did you pay for the light bar? I think that looks sick without lights on it( i know that defeats the purpose). After a quick Google search i saw it on a few sites for $380. $hit that's a lot of money for some bent and welded tubes.
