Not completely true... STI front struts do NOT fit WRX/2.5i, but springs & rear shocks do FIT.

I'm not sure if 2011+ WRX suspension specs has changed but 2011+ STI have even stiffer spring rate so you need to find struts that'll match.

2008 WRX have the same exact soft suspensions as 2.5i.

Dillion, thanks for the info! Premier, would love to see some shots of your 35ET wheels. Are they 9" wide?

I am officially a proud new owner of a 2008 Impreza Sedan 2.8I. Really excited to have it as my DD and hopefully enough cash over the next few months for some mods. First is definately a WRX sedan 08-10 exhaust since this one is rusted to crap or a Tsudo system. Then RA flaps and Grids.

Oops. No, they're 8.5" wide

So guys... will a 08 STi muffler with quad tips and midpipe section work on my 08 Impreza sedan 2.5I? Meaning, will it bolt up without modifications? Thanks

No, it'll cost you about $10 in extended exhaust hangers and $20 at a muffler shop so it doesn't rub the bumper. The "modifications" are minimal and cheap though.

Okay, so this may be an option. Thank you very much for the response, will look into extended exhaust hangers.

Got my black carpet today from an STI. Came with the nice dead pedal. This was a complete bitch to install. Took me nearly 4 hours as I had to figure out how to do everything as I went. Busted a few clips, but nothing serious. This completely changes the feel of the car. Before I felt like I was swimming in an ocean of tan. At least now it's not as bland.

Here's a couple pics from my phone of the driver side. I will be taking better pictures tomorrow with my dslr.

Before:

After:

Come spring I will be plasti-dipping the majority of the remaining trim pieces. I also plan on picking up a wrx or sti steering wheel.

On a side note, my red air bag light is now on. This has never happened to me before and it is annoying. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. I have checked my seat connections. Tomorrow I will probably disconnect the battery and then unplug all the seat connections to see if that clears it. Otherwise what does the dealership do? Is there a cost?

It looks good man. Seems like your making progress pretty quick lol.
For the red air bag light, are you referring to the one in the dash or the passenger air bag light? If its the dash light then you have already done everything I would have done. If its the passenger one, maybe try disabling the "chime" that comes on and in doing so maybe it will reset the light? I'm really not to sure what else you could do....

Also on a side note, I installed Turn In Concepts shift linkage bushings today. Took way longer than I would have liked but after having kartboy front and rear shifter bushings; I can say that their is a big difference in front and forward slop while the tranny is in gear and in neutral. It would have been a lot easier to install these bushings the same time as the f/r shifter bushings, tranny bushings, and crossmember bushings. So if your planning to change any shifter/tranny bushings, plan it all out and you can get them all done in one shot! lol.

It's definitely from the seat, mine's on . Disconnect the ground on the battery, redo your seat connections, then juice it up
Or you could shove resistors in the airbag connections.

Thanks guys!

Yeah I will be figuring it out today. Hopefully disconnecting and reconnecting solves it.

Fancyfootwork, what year WRX did you get that black carpet out of? I need to do that too my sedan as well. I'm not a fan on tan.

Also, what exhausts aside from OEM WRX are you guy's running on your 2.5I sedans? I know of Tsudo/SPT any others and what are the best prices you guy's have seen so far on them. Thanks!

I got it from a 2008 STI hatch. Fitment between hatch and sedan is identical.

Cool, now on the hunt for someone parting out an STi locally, ha. I'm doing the same thing as you too, trying to replace all the floor carpet.

I've come up with this so far: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/se...me:Carpet+Kits)

Edit- nvm on exhaust, I found. Seems not alot of 2.5I sedan options. Mostly for hatches.

You can plasti dip the majority of the interior pieces. Ones that you never touch really. Hell of a lot cheaper then trying to find all new pieces and buy them. Just my two cents.

Is your 2.5i a stick or auto?

Auto which is a bummer but I keep telling myself, "it's just a DD."

I PM'd you by the way... we have the same exact color combo, minus the transmission.

Yeah bummer that it's an auto man. No big deal though.

Sent you a message back. I really dig Newport blue, especially after adding so much black to the interior.

I have a SRS N1 catback and it hasn't been getting along with my bumper.

Lots of soot and the bumper has melted a bit.

Probably going to change it out at some point. Probably going to go for a TubroXS, Invidia Q300, or a SPT. Depends on what I can find.
