Da fuq llumars the good stuff too. I got quoted $400 for the whole car from autoimage. I just thought that was way high so I tinted it myself for $50 its not the greatest job but no one notices. Plus wont feel so bad about removing it if the popo catches me.

For the tint reference, if it's relevant I got 15% on the rear hatch window and rear windows, 50% crystalline on front windows, and a 15% brow on the front windshield. All 3m products for $375 for installed

Making an sti look alike is why. Improve the car yes. Make it look like a car it isn't no. If a Honda fanboy did the same thing he'd get **** for it.

For free, I'm interested. Would be good for an idea I've been thinking about.

So just by placing the wing on my car, I made my car a look-a-like

You missed my point. I have plenty of mods done to the car for handling and performance so this car is not rice. There are not any sti badges on the car. I personally like the look of the wing as it makes our cars no longer look like a corolla.

Some people hate it, some people like it. I guess your one of the stubborn ones that will never accept other peoples tastes.

Other people's tastes and counterfeiting a car are different worlds. You didn't put a wing on your car, you put a specific wing on your car, a wing that is obvious to an sti. You are faking your car to a higher level, that is rice. No matter what mods you have done its not an sti. The sti wing is trying to say it is. I met a guy with a debadged 2.5 rs that he tried to pass off as a wrx. That is what you are doing.

I'd have to agree with this. The STI wing looks terrible on narrow bodies. Jus't doesn't fit right at all. Just my opinion though.

How am I counterfeiting the car? I put the STI wing on the car for looks. I'm not going around telling people its an STI nor am I showcasing an STI badge. If there was one on the car I would agree with you but there is none. If I placed a fake fmic in the lower grille..that would be rice.

Another reason I put the wing on was because of the simplicity and cost effectiveness (free) of swapping trunks.

So again I ask, the ONLY reason why you call my car rice is because of the STI wing? You need to get out more in the world if that is your standard for rice.

@ Fancyfootwork15 - I respect that opinion because you just don't like the look of it. Some like it, some hate it.

I personally dont like the sti wing on the narrow bodies either. I prefer wingless or the limited spoiler. What about all the wrxs running around with sti wings? Plus he never said he was passing his car off as an sti. Just because he has an sti wing doesn't mean $hit. His car he can do what ever he wants to it. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. He likes it you dont get over it.

Hmm...guess I only seen 18''s, not in the 17" range. Is the 17''s for MOAR of teh LowZ? lol I wanted to go the 17" route for the cheaper tires haha

If I de-badge my trunk, now I am rice? What if I install a rear wing? if you really think that, you are a moron and should just GTFO.

You missed that he tried to pass it off as a wrx. But the whole point here is our cars aren't sti's or wrx's. swapping hoods and trunks are a visual mod to make it look like a car it isn't. It was done for the look of an sti so other people see it. Just because you want to pretend your car is the one you really want doesn't make me a moron. It makes me sick of this community, where someone can get flamed for an evo spoiler on an es but praised for an sti spoiler on a 2.5i.

If you could point me to the post where I claimed my car was a wrx or sti please do so now..

It was done as a visual mod.. Yes.
Am I pretending to be something I'm not.. No

It was done because it was free and I like the look on the narrow bodies. I respect that other people don't like the look, but putting words in my mouth is pretty ridiculous.

So a WRX or STI swapping trunks with one that does not have a spoiler on it would be considered rice by your definition, since it's only a visual mod and it makes it look like a car it isn't
