Let me know if you have any questions about install btw. It's pretty daunting but a fun experience overall.

Yep. Konis and stock springs.

I have Pento 5w-40. I would have gotten Rotella but I was lazy and rolled 65k right in front of my mechanic so I just turned in and had him do it. My Mechanic has Pento and I haven't been able to find it anywhere else other than online.

Be careful on 9. I know of too many cars that have been lost on that road.

I'm running the rotella. I don't really notice much with switching. I did notice that i so have a increase in oil pressure when the car is warmer up. The car does feel smoother. And i go hear the engine more over my exhaust at higher rpm(4500-6k).

Have the stop techs with Powerslot rotors on my fronts. Stock drums still in the rear. I also have a master brake cylinder and my car stops fast.

Are you getting new rotors also?

Just gunna resurface for now. I have to pay for a Vegas trip coming up . Gunna get the front rotors n GS brace next. Can u verify that the rear pads r smaller then the front pads? Just wanna make sure haven't had the chance to pull the old ones off yet.

hey guys im going to be doing the azp track even in June and i wanted to know what you guys suggest i should do to prep the car before i go and what i should possibly change. im doing a new clutch and coolant hoses and colder thermostat next week thinking of doing cooling ducts for the brakes and maybe an oil cooler because my friend is giving me one and with the wrx hood i would try and mount it up top. any suggestions would be great.
thanks in advance

If you plan on really pushing the car do as follows:
-oil change before and after the event
- check all suspension bits are torqued to spec before and after (i.e. struts, LCA's, drivetrain nuts/bolts).
- Brake ducts (as you mentioned)
-Upgrade/change brake fluid (i.e. Motul RBF600 or equivelant)
-Upgrade to at least hawk hp+ pads, the hps pads are okay if your just getting your feet wet
- Remove all unnecessary items in the car (i.e. spare (if you want to), jack, drivers handbook lol)
- Torque your wheels with a torque wrench after every event (80/85ft-lbs is more than enough)
-Purchase helmet, gloves, and driving shoes for the nut behind the wheel
Also I'm not too sure if your gonna need an oil cooler but if your getting one for free or cheap then I'd say go for it.
This is probably way more than you need to do but its never a bad idea to be extra cautious.
JourdanWithaU- anything I'm missing? lol

I know im doing this track day not sure about any other event im looking to attend maybe an autocross or 2 not 100%sure yet.

Thanks for a quick answer.
Ill be doing the oil change before because i should be at the mileage by then. (is after really necessary, is so why?)
When doing my clutch this coming Monday im also gonna go over the suspension grease as many of the aftermarket bushings i have and go through all the bolts.
As of now my brake set up is, centric premium rotors, hawk hps pads, technafit lines, super blue fluid, and a master cylinder brace, if i had to guess i would say i did the brakes back in the summer of 2011 so might either do the same pad and rotor combo from knsbrakes or up grade to a dba rotor with the hps pads.
I have a helmet but not sure if its up to date it was used 4 times 3 by my friend in his 500whp talon and once for an auto cross event.
as for shoes and gloves i dont know where to start, i was thinking just a pair of machanic gloves from like autozone and idk about shoes maybe pumas or a pair of DC's.

and i was kind of thinking the oil cooler might be over kill ill see when im doing the clutch try to mock it up and if putting it in the scoop doesn't seem wise ill check out behind bumper fitment. but i don't think its gonna make a huge difference.

Oh okay awesome. Yeah no problem man. It's just overkill but I figure since your going to be revving 3k or higher for long periods of time, keeping the oil fresh wouldn't hurt too much hah.
Great idea for the bushings, I need to do mine
In terms of brakes you should be good to go. Your pads are most likely going to fad after a couple laps just so you know though. I've gotten mine to fade on a really aggressive mountain run.
The helmet should be okay unless the organizations rules state otherwise. The thinner the shoes the better.
