I wonder if it would be too far the other way if I clocked it one notch? hmmm..

I don't know if I want to mess around with the airbag though. Those things scare me.

Scared me too.. Just disconnect the battery, pump the brakes and wait 15 minutes for good measure. I actually painted my airbag with plasti-dip.

So when you say "pop"- What exactly does that entail? I never really looked at that closely, is there a fastener of any kind or...?

I asked for as much camber as possible while being even. I'm pretty sure one side will go farther than -1.4. And zero toe since I daily the car.

I wouldn't move the steering wheel if it was straight when you got it. It's possible that your toe specs got knocked out of alignment.

But you should go in for an alignment. I think they're recommended every year or so.

I got the car brand new and the alignment felt perfect to me, and feels the same now actually, but the wheel was cocked a little from day one.
Tire wear is good too. I will have to get an alignment though, because it has been four years, and even if it feels good, it's bound to be out at least a little by now. I have never hit a really severe pothole, I usually dodge them, but I hit a few over the life of the car.

And when they do the alignment, I'll tell them to fix the steering wheel with the tie-rod-end adjusters.

edit- Your left rear camber is 1.7 while your right rear is 1.3- Did you notice that? Where did you get it done?

I noticed that my rear camber isn't even. It irritates me to no end. But it's stock linkage and not adjustable. One of the reasons why I had gotten adjustable LCAs. But I can't compete with them in stock class.

I've also noticed since i lowered my car, it likes to go to the right ever so slightly. I've had it aligned 3 times from my guy when i lowered and raised it. Would it be the toe that's pulling the car to the right? wear seems pretty even right now

Sometimes you can't tell...theres a lot of variables ranging from tires pressures to tire wear and sometimes the balancing. Just gotta put your shades on and deal with it haha

You remove the airbag by loosening the two T30 torx screws on each side of the steering wheel column. It then just pull out (towards driver) and you unclip the wires.

Cool.. Good to know.. I don't know if I will ever attempt that or not though!

Here's a project I did last week. Didn't get a pic of the Alpine speaker mounted because a thunderstorm blew in suddenly. It was the fastest I ever reinstalled the door panel- it took about 30 seconds, then it started raining buckets.

I think I was more scared painting the airbag then taking it off, lol. It was either spray it for $20 (Torx screwdriver and plasti dip).. or source out a black airbag for probably $400+

I've never heard of that sound deadening before. Are you going to be amping your speakers? Your sound will be better on a stock HU, much better with an aftermarket HU, and awesome if you amp the fronts. I have 80 watts going to each front speaker right now (Focal 5-1/4" Coaxial, will be upgrading to components sometime i'm sure). The sound is fantastic with clear power going to them.

Yup I have these speakers:
Alpine SPR-60
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...ne-SPR-60.html
Front and rear- and I have a 5 channel amp, but running rear speakers off head unit, and bridging front and rear of the 4 channel amp to 120 watts per channel at 4 ohms and running the fronts off that. It sounds a lot better that way, I tried both ways. I was basically just upgrading from the Polk speakers I got right after I bought the car 4 years ago. They still sounded ok, but they were definitely on their way out. It's a rough life inside the door of a car. I was going to go with seperates, but I think these Alpines sound amazing and are definitely better than the Polks. The silk dome tweeter alone is worth the price. The super lightweight polymer frame and neodymium magnets are cool too. I think they will do better in the long run. They aren't going to rust, that's for sure.
And this sound deadener-
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...VX-SDDK12.html
It works.. and it was the cheapest stuff at the time.

-this head unit-
Pioneer AVH-P3300BT
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130P330....html?tp=20217

This sub:
Kicker Solo Classic 09S10C4
10" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_20609S1...C4.html?tp=111
Running off the class D sub channel @ 2ohms and 500 watts.

MTX 5 channel amp

The amp is great when it works.. Very powerful and clean, but it has failed twice. It is discontinued now so they (MTX) just replace all the guts when it stops working properly. I think they got it right last time because it works great still. I wouldn't recommend it though, Id get something more reliable. I only paid $300 for it though. It's a lot of amp for that price.

I picked up a used steering wheel from a wrecked 09 WRX for 50 bucks! Well... I have to reuse my own airbag. :-p

Mine wernt stock but they had 3m double sided tape. I believe the stock ones may have small metal brackets on them in addition to the tape

Yea the install looks clean but if you want them to be secure the double sided tape is the main adhesive the clips are just an extra added security

13 at idle for me lol. It ranges from 13-95 psi for me and i have rotella

20 is normal, if you have zero its bad Lol. And IIRC above 110psi is when the seals start to leaks

i didn't know our cars report oil pressure, do they report oil temp as well? I have an OBDII (scangauge 2) reader and i was wondering if i could get the codes for oil specs. So far I have AFR, load, volumetric efficiency, fuel trims, exhaust temps, coolant and all the other usual crap.

Switched to rotella yesterday, no noticeable difference, same can be said for the 87 at the pump. Maybe 4 tanks, can't tell a difference.

Found a nifty bike accessory today that allows me to mount my bike while keeping the basket on.

Run it for 4k miles then do an oil analysis.
