Chances are you will get to the point where you have modded all you can and it just isn't good enough. Starting with a Wrx or something with power gives you much more options while still liking the car in the long run.

Also, if your asking for advice on here as to what to get... That isn't too unique now is it? Your best bet is to stay simple, do tires, wheels, and suspension. The idea of being unique while asking for advice on nasioc is laughable.

The Plasti dip is always a great cheap option, also paint the tail lights with the Maserati style would give affect. Anything else?

What he said.
Whatdoyouknow? I have a 16mm WRX RSB up for sale. doh. lol

But seriously, RSB should be the first mod on 2.5i, followed by better tires, (optional wheels), upgraded suspension.

There really isn't a whole lot of bang you can get out of $100.

Although I do think I got my Cobb Short shifter for $90.

Can somebody who has it tell me if the fender liner is important in installation? Part of mine close to the bumper got torn out and I have yet to replace it. Should I?
Just for a different opinion, I got mine at an online Subaru dealer with free shipping and no tax for $209 about a year ago, maybe more like a year and a half now.

Anyway my point is that there is a reason to go for the genuine Subaru part. First of all, I personally think it looks better, and also I know it fits much better from all the photos I have seen. The Subaru part fits absolutely perfect, just like you would think, the ebay one? Not so much, but it does fit, just not as perfect.

To get a professional paint job on the ebay lip it will cost you at least 100 bucks to make it really look like the paint on your car, so in the long run you only are spending 50 to 100 bucks more on the Subaru part (depending on what you pay for it obviously) all things considered.

Personally I went with the Subaru lip and I'm not sorry I did. It depends on the price you can get it for though. I got it on a free shipping day at the online dealer, and it was on sale too.

I'm trying to find a close-up pic of the fit..

Ok here ya go- it is kind of a big pic. Look at the fit, and then find a really close up view of the ebay lip to compare. It just isn't quite the same.
If an absolutely perfect fit is important to you, go with the genuine part.

And also, since my brakes are heading towards new pads (maybe rotors, maybe), what are good economical options with great performance, i think i have an idea but you guys have done a lot to your cars.

I recently installed a pair of Centric Blank Rotors with Hawk HP Plus pads.

So far there is a lot of dust and low speed noise. There's a race coming up this Sunday where I'll see how well they stop.

I made my choice based on the most I could get while complying with the rules. Hawk's quietslot and HPS package may be a more streetable set-up.

BTW choice leads to uniqueness, and there is plenty of choice. If i get to a point where there is no more options then i will swap whatever it may be to create what i want.

Not sure if this is relevant to the thread, but will the tail light out of a 08 2.5i be a plug and play for my slightly chipped 2011 WRX tail?

Yes. You can buy DEPO fogs (OEM replicas for less than half of the OEM price, and clearer too). Just pop out the black mesh things in place and bolt the fogs to the brackets. You will need to buy a stalk with a fog switch on it, or tap into the headlights...the messy way.

I was unable to read the text in red. It doesn't show up on my screen, maybe someone else can chime in.

Jokes aside, nothing. The amount of money spent in implementing turbos and superchargers will be a waste in power - money ratio.

Anyone know of a nice how-to for Subaru brand vent visor install? The instructions are about as detailed as prehistoric cave drawings.
