Meguiars Plastx.. then wax them every couple weeks.

The only way to truly correct that is to sand them and respray a clear on them.

+1! I just got the 3M headlight sanding drill bit and used the plastx on my bros 04 STI and a friends '02 RS and it did magic.

Either I need a good buff and wax, or just a lot of dirt and mud...

Nothing rubs at all, and I have the Rally Innovations light bar. Which is for sale and currently still on the car.

looks GREAT. Why do you get rid of the bar? Also, what's the tyre size you're running?

I haven't got rid of the bar yet, that pic is from yesterday afternoon.

And I'm planning on getting a custom light bar and skid plate made that fits my needs. It will be larger diameter and thickness bar. And it will match the custom roof rack I'll have built at the same time. I've already gotten a price for all of it and it sounds like a pretty good deal.

And the tires are 205/75-15

Where are you running the wires from the light bar into the cabin?

Under the rack, into the rail trim, along the windshield and under the plastic trim into the engine bay. From there to power and switches inside.

Should probably at least wrap that with black electrical tape or run it through the roof somehow.

Nope they dont. A solution is to use fogs as DRLs instead, it's a simple rewire...

I use my Hella 500FF fogs if I need some extra light during the day.

^ can't argue with that. The car is raised? There's surpisingly little clearance with the fender in the back for wider tires

My high beams only ever last a couple years because of that issue.. but I like having DRL, and I have no fogs, so I just keep replacing them when they fail. They actually dim a little bit over a two year period, so having fresh ones in there all the time is nice. I use Osram Silverstar Ultra highs, and H11 to H9 mod lows. I think I may change to the 9011 instead of 9005 high soon, non-tinted, but anyway..

My bro was in my car a couple weeks ago at night , and he is used to his Mazdaspeed3 Bi-Xenon HID headlights or Acura TL HIDs, and he was very impressed with my setup. It is probably just as much about perfect aim as the actual bulbs, but they are impressive, especially the high beams.

Fender clearance is easily adjusted with a fender roller and a little bit of time. My fenders are actually pulled out about an inch or so on each side... From when I was lowered and running +32 offset and 245 tires.

Yeah it is, I researched it and its the same as long as the gauge an contain the power output. I needed speaker wire so the power and ground were basically one cord and low on bulk. It's also a 14 gauge, plenty for an led bar.

It's just a prototype for now, I'll have everything hidden as a final result. I will also waterproof everything in the process for maximum lifespan.
