From what I've heard that is around the correct cost. Its mainly labor that's a beotch.

My friend owns a shop so I got hooked up but usual labor for a clutch was $5-600 for subaru not sure parts and what not, throw out bearing comes with clutch kit and took 5 minutes to replace it goes on input shaft on the trans which is out for clutch if it's $1200 parts and all might not be to bad oem clutch kit with friends discount was $200 resurface fly wheel was $50 then fluids it wasn't a overly hard job but my friend has done 100s of them maybe ask around at different shops to see the average

I got quoted the exact same from 3 of the 4 shops I called when my throw out bearing went, but I found someone that did it for 700 but the flywheel wasn't resurfaced the best I have a bit of clutch shutter...

Mine started squealing, so I let it go for a little then one day I depressed my clutch and the pedal kind of got stuck. Next thing I know my clutch burns up. When they pulled out the bearing he said it was fried, the only thing I don't like about my new clutch is the pedal feels lighter when I push it down I don't know why?

Hi guys. I had a quick question. Has anyone put an exhaust on their car? I'm thinking about it but not sure if its worth it or not.

Quick answer, yes.

And if it's worth it? Probably not, spend the money on suspension, it'll make the car more fun to drive.

Exhaust is good if you find the car to be too quiet!

My '08 averages the same although it idles for 20-30 minutes everyday (I only drive it in the winter).

Straight pipe from axelback. 2.5inch pipe sounds louder than stock but not loud. IMO its best option, rather than buying brand name. The money you save for straight pipe can go to suspension.

Navysesal, chime in!

Also a stock 08-10 wrx exhaust is very nice. Its louder than stock but hard to find for sale now

Anybody know where I could find a head unit with navi? Or at least recommend a good one? An oem Subaru one is preferable, but I'm not opposed to aftermarket.

*other than the usual ebay, craigslist, etc.

Crutchfield. I order a lot from them and never have any problems.

Ok thanks. Yeah I'm looking for something that can navi and satellite radio. Don't know which is the better option, going aftermarket, or finding an OEM one.

I still have an old Pioneer AVIC-D3 it's got navigation, Bluetooth and Satellite Radio and Nav Traffic. Although I got rid of Sirius/XM and just use my iPhone and various free internet radio sources for my music needs, and for my Navigation if I need it.

IMHO aftermarket is usually better than OEM.

Also, I can watch DVDs, hook up a rear camera, add more monitors and another video source, if I wanted to.

Find the best double din Pioneer head unit with nav you can afford or want to spend money on, and call it a day. Mine has jut about everything but nav, (blue tooth, DVD, XM, USB, SDHC, etc..) and I love it.

Any reason why a subaru OEM HU? It may cost the same as a good reliable HU..

Crutchfield is definitely the place to go. Can't go wrong. While it does cost a bit more than local shops, crutchfield will cover you if anything goes wrong, and they include the needed HU materials to install.

No clue, but all exhaust clips never sound the same due to speakers being different, camera mics being different., etc..

Hard to say. Navysesal should chime in soon..

Definitely, custom muffler delete. I have one, got it made with everything and install for about $80. Its loud where people will hear you, and you'll like it. Loud enough for you to hear with music on at about volume 30.

I personally like hearing the crackle and occasional pop when you're shifting. Sweet spot for me is 2.5k rpm You hear the boxer rumble around 2.5k -4k WOT. Sounds kinda like a evo at times haha

Its girlfriend/wife friendly lolol. Slight drone till about 70 mph on highways

Maybe i can borrow a gopro or get some help from outbackdream to finally record a video
