Yep, pisses me off that they would destroy what I worked hard for in seconds. If I would have caught them in the act, you'd best believe that I would bash them worse than they did my car lol.

Dude, that sucks. Any idea who may have done it?

And auto body shops don't match paint, they blend it to make it only look like it matches, so you shouldnt have anything to worry about.

Thanks! I haven't even painted the lip yet, that's just the primered way it came. Not sure if I even need to though. And I do prefer the wrx/sti grill to any other for our years.

I've seen the pictures about 3 times now, I just now realized they smashed the windshield, back window and headlight. Just looking at those pictures infuriates me. Was the car vandalised while it was parked at home? The nerve of some people. Also the 3rd picture down IDK WTF they were trying to accomplish? Maybe they tried breaking in failed and took it out on your car. My car has had 2 attempts of forced entry and I have scratches and dents all along the top of my front passenger door. If I caught the ****ers in the act Id be wanted for murder. RAGE ****ing scum of the earth. Honestly the person or people who did this should . The front lip is probably salvageable. Honestly how did they manage to rip the lip off... its like an inch of the ground.

I dont have a clue who would have done something like this. My guess would be haters. I mean, I'm not an asshat to anyone or pull dumb stunts on the road. My car was last broken into in october of 2011. And for the lip thing, my guess would be that they stepped on it while trying to bash the hood because it does kind of protrude out lol. My insurance told me that it would be a $500 deductable and thats $500 more than I was willing to spend haha

That looks like about 3,000 to 4,000 dollars worth of damage if not much more. I'd suck it up and pay the 500 deductible all day long. The value of your car is worth it, it is why you pay your premiums in the firsts place.

Agreed with all the dent pulling, bondo, repainting, new glass, and other random stuff. the bill will easily EASILY be over 500.

Pay the 500 like others have said...

Glass alone would cost 500-900 unless you don't mind genuine subaru parts.

Closest person with that intention would be premier0000. I believe he has general tires but I forget the model. Like 205/65/16 or so

Yes it is also lifted a little, i was hoping someone had 15s and a tire for the road. Kinda hoping there are 15s for a cheaper price than the 230+ range (each) that look like a rally wheel.

General grabber AT2, 205/75-15. mounted on '03-ish Legacy Steel Wheels (15")

They're nice on and off road.

They just charged me $225 to put one in at the dealership. Then it didn't even work with the iPhone 5, or really the 4 either. Unbelievable ... found a place that will install a whole new radio w/aux for less than that, so having them take it out.

If anyone has recs on radios, by the way, I'd love to hear. Looking at trying to take care of that next week.

Pioneer with a 4 channel amp and new speakers that can support the power.

I wonder if you have a brake caliper dragging or something. I had a '95 200SX SE-R once that constantly dragged it's pads on the rotors and got bad fuel economy and sounded like it was running a little hard. It was my wife's car actually, and she didn't notice, but I would drive it and I knew something was up. After that was fixed, it felt and sounded like a different car and MPGs improved. That probably isn't your problem but who knows.
I'll keep it in mind. Found a guy who seems to be a good bet here in Boston for my checkup, so I'm bringing it in there tomorrow--Ming's Auto in Allston, if anyone is in the area. Went to the shop and he had a modded WRX out front being worked on, and was driving a Forester himself. Seemed like I was in the right place. Said he gets problems even the dealerships can't solve ... just the kind of person I want to deal with, so crossing my fingers. Wish I had the know-how to do this stuff myself, but I do not. THANKS for your help!

Can I do that for $200? Kidding. While I would seriously love a great sound system, not quite in the budget. I'd actually be happy if I could find a 6-CD with aux or even Bluetooth used ... apparently they don't even make the 6CDs anymore. Used to have the 6CD in the 2002 and I know it dates me but I still like it!

Come to think of it, I think I'll just have them remove the jack and wait on this so I can do some research. I'll take a look at Pioneer.

I have a Pioneer Appradio and love it!
It's got it's ups and downs but I have unlimited data through my phone carrier so it made sence to go with it. Plus I got a good deal... Like $140 for a discontinued model with wire and dash kit included.

Edit: someone below mentioned the factory 6-disk with aux my car came with one. If it's what you want I'll let it go.

They made a 6CD changer for the 2009's I don't have one but you can find one here.

Also if you'd like a cheap aux option let me know and Ill make a write up!

Anyone know if the fb intake manifold would fit the ej series? Would be fun of this was a direct bolt on.

I wish it did but I doubt it. Subaru switched to a 2.0L from the 2.5L as well.
