So I guess it's still required to be replaced, fairly inexpensive part.

I believe so. When I was researching a while back, it seemed it was crucial for NA motors on the older models. I paid like (US) $15 shipped from Subarugenuineparts.com

His 2.5i would probably get much better mileage without the sti wing

The hatch wing? You think it makes much of a difference?

The sti sedan wing.

It's a joke because I think the sti wing on a 2.5i looks extremely tacky.

I recall reading somewhere that it doesn't really make a difference until your over 100mph lol.

This lol.
On a narrow body, it is very hard to pull of a STi wing. The only person who does that is KpSti but he has a 08 wrx i believe.

Ive read it works over 100mph... but even then its effects are minimal. More of an aesthetic thing if you ask me.

IMO depends what the person has done to the car. Kartracers looks very nice with a sti style wing. Its tacky when its on a stock car and the owner claims its an sti... there are plenty of those here... lol

I prefer an STI wing on a narrow body because the newer WRX/STI's look so over the top, custom, kitted, etc and the wing is too much. Also, on the narrow bodies it flows better with the profile of the car, although, I agree a wing does absolutely nothing for an 08+ that's not sitting on wide wheels, suspension, etc....

To a Degree I agree. The STI wing does look ALOT better on the narrow bodies, and looks alot bigger. Due to the styling of the widebody, the wing looks puny at times, and IMO it would look better if it was a bit bigger/wider.

Widebody sedan with no wing = sex. Widebody hatch well that = sex too.
I liked the sti wing from 04-07. Now its looks kinda funky to me.

Did you're car come with black carpet?

Dead pedal makes a big difference because you see it nearly every time you get in/out.
