They have a lot of mixed reviews, which is why I haven't brought any of my cars there.

My friend recently brought his WRX there, and they ****ed up the car. came out of the shop worse than it went in.

Sorry Kartracer, I'd have to disagree. One of the guys I know went there, and Ed at EQ blew his motor 3 times already. There are plenty of guys who avoid EQ out there as Ed's tuning hasn't been good as what it used to be.

FW Motorsports, and Snail Performance (Uses FW Motorsports Dyno) are said to be good. Travis at Snail Performance tuned both of my buddies car, and I've ridden in one. The tune seems very smooth.

However, if you can go down to socal and get a tune, that will be much better from what i've heard.

I forgot about snail lol. My bro and I met Travis ( or whoever the rep was) at BAM. Seemed very knowledgable and their racecar was amazing. SoCal is so far but if I ever drove down their I would use Renner Motorsports.

I bought the bag riders v-2 set up wish I went with the e-level but I'm happy with it since you won't be able to use the e-level while the car is off. It's a smooth and awesome ride I did roll my fenders for my 18x9.5 gram lights

I bought a wrx cat back from them 2 weeks ago from their website and it said in stock, I called a week after and they said it was out of stock and they will get a shipment the following week. So I called Monday and they said call at the end of the week so I did, now it's going to be another week just to see if they can get it in.

Im looking at a 09 impreza outback sport with 84,000 on it. Car is clean, so is the carfax. Are there any major issues with this car, or the 2.5 that it runs? Sorry if its been answered before, hard to sift through 491 pages of the thread.

Nice I was leaning towards the e-level but, by on you mean key turned to accessory or engine running? I plan on a little more aggressive than you, thinking 18x9.5 +20 and 225/35 maybe even go low teens offset so I'll have bacon fenders

Our 2.5i's go through head gaskets between 150-250k miles it just depended how its taken care of and driven. Also at 105k you need a timing belt done, and I'd recommend doing the plugs, EVERY fluid, trans, diff, radiator, etc... Just to be safe. Other than that these cars are solid.

The only issue is how high that mileage is.... lol

How much is asking price?

It was a trade in to my local subaru dealership. Carfax shows once they got it they serviced the car including brake fluid, trans fluid, oil and filter, rotors were re surfaced, and spark plugs were replaced. Its a 1 owner car. They are asking 12,600 for it right now.

Wanted to see if the 09's were notorious for anything, or have major issues. From what I read on edmunds they are very reliable.

Sound well taken care of but I feel it's about an $11000-$11500 car. The OBS was discontinued because of the XV Crosstrek which is all kinds of win and unfortunately hurts the value of previous generation base Imprezas badly.

Reliable, yes. But the mileage given may have many issues from minor to major. Its hard to say especially at a high mileage like that.

2nd, obs shouldnt be that high. Last time I checked kbb, 2009 obs 2.5i with 45000 miles was 13,000. This was mid last year.

Good to know a range to shoot for on price. @outbackdream, your absolutely right about problems with that amount of miles. If I were to consider it, I would need the car to go another 100,000 miles. It seems like it's very clean inside and out. I want to go drive it tomorrow and see how it runs, but really no way to tell if something's about to break. It's encouraging that the dealership serviced it as well as they did. Definetly on the fence.

If you need a car that needs to go another 100k, Im pretty sure you can find an 08+ Impreza with lower miles at that cost. However, the biggest issue is the location of where you live and the supply and demand of the car, especially since winter is coming soon..

This is just my personal opinion, but I would never trust dealership service. Some of those guys are just hired to work there without any real background of cars imo..

Good luck though.
