Default Advan A048 legal?

just wondering, saw those tires on yoko's web site, and also a friend recommended these for my car, for summer, are they street legal? On the site it says that they come mounted on a Lotus with a sport package.

Yes, they're a DOT-legal R-compound, just like Kumho V700s and V710s, Toyo RA-1s, etc etc. Unless you drive like an assclown they're really overkill for street use.

many of these types of tires are quite prone to punctures on the street due to them picking up all sorts of garbage

they are more similar to teh RA-1/R888 than A6/V710. they would be fine for driving if u can live with next to no rain performance and 5-8000 mile road life.

^ actually I had a set, they rock in the rain. They sound like a off-road truck tire though. With a tread wear of 60 for the med compound I would not recomend them for the street. If you want crazy grip for the STREET get advan neova, they are tread wear 180 though.
