Default hypothetical question

i just installed the accessport on my 05 sti. got the v1 if it matters. i run the 91 octane map but lets say that i somehow come across some 93 or higher octane gas and decide to run the 93 map for the extra 5 lbs of torque or whatever, would changing the base map be the best way to go or since its not a significant change would just changing the realtime map do just fine as well as being faster to switch. just curious, thinking out loud kind of thing.

I would keep the base map at whatever you use most and just change rt maps as needed.

+1

If you reload your base map every time, your computer will have to re-learn the refinements it made with the base 91 octane map. Use real-time for temporary changes.

(sorry about spelling)
do not change either map.

i say this cuz unless your tank is 100% empty you will not be at a true 93oct, this can lead to dentintion. and that aint good.

you should run a map at least 1oct less than what you put in it to account for a bad tank of gas.
