Default Anyone Locally Do an Up-Pipe Install??

Ordering a Vishnu up-pipe for my Rex... Hearing that the install is a pain and long... Wondering if anyone locally knows how to do it. Of course would be willing to pay whatever time it took yah... Im in the philly area but i guess could make it a weekend trip as long as it isint farther then the local NY Area and easy to find Dont really trust any places around here to do, so was trying to take a shot on here. Thanks!!

Wait until it's warmer out, get all new gaskets, including two of the manifold-uppipe gaskets just in case. Oh yea, make sure you've got the whole day free and start early. Umm.. Might want to make sure your proficient in extracting broken bolts and re-tapping too. Make sure you've got extra bolts, nuts, and maybe even studs. WD40 is your friend. Don't bother putting any of the shields back on until your sure there is no leak. I've been in and out of there about 3 times now trying to find a leak that might (or might not) exist. Patience is the key to the process. Take your time and make sure not to nick any of the hoses. Also, there is a funky half-circle cap on the head. A couple of people have broken it, and it'll spew oil like nobodys business, make sure you avoid it like the plague. Good luck, you'll need it.

Oh yea, avoid the hottie. You won't have any time to look at her anyway, and she might make you rush the job (which isn't a good thing). She will also probably be very annoyed at standing around in the cold for 12 hours.

It's too bad you're not closer( and too bad I don't have a garage), I'd give you a hand. I did three of them so far, not a single problem on any of them. Roughly five hour job without rushing too much.

Really ashame cause I work cheap

Rob-
I'm up in Montgomeryville.
If you find an installer, let me know - I'll join in to watch / lend a hand / run for food, so that I can see it once before I decide on an uppipe or not.
Either shoot me an email or call me: (215) 28-2029
Thanks,
Franck

Hey Rob, If you really want this done right and with as little hassle as possible. I'll hook you up with the guy that did mine. But I have to warn you. It is going to cost a little. But it'll be done right. Just pm me if you're interested.
