Question Anybody know of a stroker kit for the 2.5?

Anybody know of a stroker kit (crankshaft, rods) to increase the displacement of the 2.5? Maybe 2.7 or 2.8 liter?

You wont get 2.8 safely...

2.7 will be a push.. and I wouldnt want to risk it.. 2.63 - 2.65 would be my limit.

Why wouldnt you want to go larger than 2.65liters?

The tranny and clutch combo or internal damage to the engine?

The ej25 is already really big for the block. Think most people were talking about destroking it to rev more.

Paeco has them, but I don't remember how large it goes. Also don't know how reputable they are.

Main reasons (putting rod/stroke ratio aside) is:

Lack of room in the block, the crank and rods start to foul onthe block castings

Oil scrapper ring will start to foul on the gudgeon pin hole.

Yes all these can be over come. Machine the block to create room and more the ringland up.

But both have compromises (weaker ring support and weaker block)
