Default Cat-Back Exhaust for 2.5L. Legacy

Okay I'm not looking for a frig'n debate here about which exhaust is best, I just want some input from those that have em. I am looking for a stainless cat-back that is not too loud. Anyone have direct experience with the Borla Cat-Back for a 2.5L? I also do not need to hear how much better the MRT is from Australia, since I am looking for a Stainless Steel exhaust for a Legacy and they do not make them. I don't mean to put anyone out, I just see too many debates and not enough answers on this board lately. I hate replacing exhausts, I am replacing the exhuast on my 01 Legacy now, so hopefully I never have to again. I want a stainless steel cat-back that is not too loud, performance is secondary. Will do the headers next, stainless-steel as well.

i'm just waiting for gtbguy to say "brullen." the setup is SS right?

you can always go the custom route and have an exhaust shop mate a SS magnaflow with SS piping. will be a hell of a lot cheaper.

plus, the borla's system will be just the muffler and mid-pipe (axle back) not cat-back.

Borla does make a cat-back, with mid-pipe. Anyone with a Borla, let me know on the exhaust tone. Is the Brullen available for an 01 Legacy Sedan?

if they do, this is certainly news to me. it must be a new addition cause only a few months back, all borlas for the legacies were exhaust and mid-pipe only. plus, the piping is only 2".

i'll save the brullen fittings for gtbguy...and fwiw, i would've gone with the brullen if i had some extra $$$ at the time.

You have the Borla? What is the sound like?

Borla makes a cat-back for the 2000 and newer sedan.

traskw - you may want to check out the following link as there's a GB going on for Brullen Legacy systems.

http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthr...hreadid=125377

And yes, they do make it for the '00-up Legacy. It's full T304SS

GTkrockett - thanks for replying on this, I wouldn't have been able to until now. You should check out the link above too, there's a GB going on.
