Has anyone heard if they are going to change the body style for the impreza in 2003??

I hope they do....then my 2.5RS would be REALLY unique!!!

Thanks

Why would they change it? They are selling like hotcakes.

And no, there is no info at all about 03 Impreza models...

Any changes to the '03 Impreza will be in the area of refinement, and/or adding features/options not currently available. Perhaps a moonroof? Perhaps an All-Weather-Package? ...That sort of thing.

It has been reported that Prodrive has been commissioned to do a fairly extensive styling re-do for '04, because of the heavy criticism the Impreza has received worldwide as to its styling.

If they add a moonroof as an option, I will seriously have to trade in my 02 for an 03. And then I'll probably end up ditching the sedan in favor of the wagon. I guess my twinges of wagon envy and mourning over loss of sunroof would conspire to force that decision.

But I'd definitely have to get it in black again... washing the car today made me fall in love with the blue/black color all over again.

where is that damn hello and welcome to last week pic when you need it<G> That picture has been kicked around for a while now. Prodrive is helping with the redesign and you can bet we won't even see a rough of that for months. And I dunno about australia and japan but the current wrx is finally growing on the population in europe so that may but the redesign on the back burner.

If we don't know what changes will be in the 03, doesn't it make sense that we don't know about the 04, either?? This topic keeps fading away because there is no information yet.. It's only January, have to wait a while.

Isn't that pic an old spy shot from 2000, before the new design was even released?

There was a little blurb a while back mentioning that Prodrive had been asked to give the WRX a makeover due to worldwide flagging sales - maybe this is the makeover that the original poster is refering to??

It canbe safely said that in Australia and the UK the new impreza look has failed big-time and sales in those key areas have fallen.
I reported last year on the discounts being offered on the cars in those markets to boost sales.

The looks of the car are on reason the previous versions of the WRX continue to be so high in demand - in some cases their prices supercede the price of the new model.

as they say Beauty is in the eye of the beholder............. and she plenty ugly to me

Since it won't be released until "2003," you can be assured that it will be referred to a MY04 model, at least here in North America.

From what I read in japanese performance, a uk mag. They said the new wrx is growing on people very quickly and it has alot to do with scoobysports. I doubt we will see any changes to the wrx besides maybe colors. Why? because we bought up everyone they shipped over regardless of what the damn thing looks like. I like the new car, and with morettes it is mean car.

dude, i hope that prodrive doesnt really redesign the car. im hopefully getting a 03 and it would bother me if they resign the 04 into something that looks better. i hope it isnt true.
